please refresh my memory... what are we talking about:confused3

Sorry replied to the wrong post. What I was asking is that we have friends in south Florida that want to visit us at CBR and was wondering if there were any restrictions in regards to them visiting us at the resort such as charges or time limits etc ?

No time restrictions that I know about (other than no over night)

Does anyone else think Garden Grocer is expensive ? Just looked over their prices and typically US prices are cheaper than Canadian but in this case they are asking $8.49 for a case of water and up in Toronto we can get usually two cases of 24 bottles for just over $5.00. Wondering if it is cheaper to grab a cab and head into town and just buy what we need. Anyone have any thoughts ?

If you have guests visiting you should ask the lifeguard if you are planning on using the pool.

On my garden grocer list I have a 24 pack/case of water (nestle pure life) for $6.99. This is actually very close to what I pay at home for water if it's not on sale (St.Louis area) so I am assuming it's going to be about the same cost if you were to go yourself to the store in Orlando. We bought & brought our own groceries to WDW on our trip last year, and I calculated that amount this year on the garden grocer site and found it to be only a few dollars more. Of course, there is also the delivery charge ($12) but I'm sure you would spend that much (if not more) on a cab. To me, I ran the numbers and it seems worth it. The few extra $$$ also seems to be worth it for the convenience and to not have to spend precious vacation time at the store and in a cab. JMO!

I figured they should deliver Beer etc but could not find it on their webpage. Willl have to look again.

Thanks KimRaye
It ISN'T on the website. You have to add it to the 'comments' section (or something like that) when you place your order. Trust me, I've done it Several times! ;) Be specific about what you want, the 6pack, 12pack, case, wine etc., and they deliver it. Keep in mind THOSE $$ amounts are NOT available at all when you order, so you're paying what they pay - according to them. I've never had a problem.

Kim are you sure about beer and Garden Grocer ? Just went thru the entire website and cannot find any ?

Thanks
See above. ;)

I agree with poster below, that the convenience of having it delivered to your room is worth it, and you can get beer! ;) Think about it - how much are you over-paying the whole time down there, albeit delightful, the necessities are worth a couple extra $$, too. :thumbsup2

Quick question! We just booked our first stay at CBR, and my DD is really excited! We booked a regular Pirate room. In talking to the CM, she said the "regular" pirate rooms are in bldg 34, 35, & 36; and the waterview pirate rooms are in 37, 38, & 39. Is this correct? I was really hoping for a room in 34, 35 or 36 - just seems to be slightly closer to the food court!

Actually, the Garden Grocer prices are quite close to what you would spend if you went shopping yourself. We used to go to the grocery store on our arrival date (we drive so we have a car at our disposal) but went with Garden Grocer for our last visit. It was so nice not to fight traffic, buy groceries in an unfamiliar store, load and unload everything in the car and then carry it to the resort room.

Does anyone know the hours they serve breakfast at Old Port Royale? Also, do they have mickey waffles? Thanks!

Its been many years since we have stayed at the CBR. After reading some of the posts, it looks like its time to give it another chance. Please don't tell anyone, but the deluxe resorts, are not worth the extra money.:rolleyes1

I've never been able to justify the extra money that it cost to stay deluxe when I am perfectly happy with staying at the CBR.

I hope you'll give the CBR another chance!

Next month I need to make ADR"S. The first night we won't arrive at the resort until around 6. I was wondering how is Shutters? I would rather stick around the resort the first night.

I'm also hoping for a room only discount so I can drop are regualr dining plan and just do the QSDP. Last year it was just to many adr's. The only one that is a must do again is garden grill for supper. We will just pay out of pocket for that. But just in case there is no room discount need to get my adr's in order.

Thanks Kim. Decided to go the grocer root based on above. We are stopping in Buffalo before our flight so will grab most of our snacks then and use grocer for beverages and Rye. So how do you end up paying for the liquour ? I assume you pay online for the other stuff and they bill you for the Rye on another invoice ?
