Caribbean Beach Advice Needed

We are now less than 2 months away from our June trip. Getting super excited to return to CBR. We stayed there in June 2007 & loved it. It will be so much fun. I think it is a great for first time visitors to WDW. It is so bright & cheerful. I love the landscape:lovestruc

We stayed at CBR in Feb 2011. Our room was clean, we had great mousekeeping (elaborate towel animal displays daily). The room size was great for our family of four. We were pleasantly surprised that we could see the high fireworks from IllumiNations from outside of our door in our Barbados building. The resort grounds are really pretty and hearing the Caribbean music playing definitely puts you in a vacation mode. That being said, the size of the resort is a deal killer for us....I know people will say its not that bad, and it probably wouldn't have been if it were just DH and I...but we had our two young girls in tow, and after a looooong day at the park, the idea of walking 10 minutes to Old Port Royale was less than appealing....and yes...with two small, exhausted kids lagging behind, it took at least 10 minutes. :headache:

I don't know what your travel party consists of, so I don't know if this would be of concern to you. But, that was our experience. We are not rushing back to stay at CBR, despite all of its positives, but if we did stay there again, we'd probably spring for a preferred location.

We stayed in CBR the first week of March 2012 and loved it. It was our familys first trip to Disney so I can't compare it to the other resorts, but we were happy with every aspect of this resort. Could some things have been better? Yes, but it is a moderatly priced resort. We made sure to get a preffered room and we were in Trinidad North, it seemed perfect to us, short walks to the main pool and food court (2 min at most) and right beside the bus stop. We are going to try to go back to Disney in early 2013 and we plan on trying CS but we are tempted to just stay at CBR again, it did truly feel like our home away from home. As far as the buses go we only had one long wait, about 30 min for a MK bus. All the other park buses seemed to come more frequently than MK, maybe because MK is further away? I am sure you will love it!
