Hi I'm Savannah, I'm new to these boards :)

But I've been seriously considering the CS program for Fall 2011, right after I graduate. I've seen some people that are able to stay with Disney after extending, and finishing their program. I was wondering if CS students are allowed to do the auditions like the CPs can, or is that only for CPS?

I guess mainly my question is: Which one should I do if I want a better chance at staying at Disney working post-program?

Thanks so much! :)

Thats really a debateable question. I'm assuming you would have less of a chance in the CP because you would need to go back and finish college. CS can audition and extend and can even be offered PT FT or seasonal jobs. Bu as with the CP its not a sure thing. It just could happen that way.

Thanks, I never really thought about that. I've been leaning way more towards the CS than the CP anyways. :)

I did a WDW CS program RIGHT AFTER my senior year in HS. It was a amazing! I wouldn't change it for anything. But I am now doing a CP program my freshmen year of college! hahah.

CS's can't audition for entertainment roles. BUT, if you do the CS and they hold auditions for the roles AFTER your CS and they want you to stay on as a FT cast member, then you can audition! You just can't perform entertainment roles on the CS! It sucks!

Check out my blog www.staceyswdwcpadventures.tumblr.com

It has a lot of info from my CS program!

I'll definitely check that out! :)

I'm wanting to do it the fall right after I graduate as well!

How did your parents take it? Like not going straight to college? I know my parents are set on me going straight to college, but that's definitely not what I'm wanting to do.

And a few other questions, because I'm a total n00b when it comes to working at Disney.

What exactly does "FT Cast member" mean?

And what does being "friends" with a character mean? haha xD

I actually graduated HS early at 17, so I couldn't really go right to college, well... I could have! But I didn't want to! haha. So I went Spring 2011, right after I turned 18! So my parents were really understanding about it. They know working for Disney is an important career goal for me, so they understood that it was a good step. Just really explain to your parents the opportunites you'll gain from it. You get SO MUCH out of this program. I didn't think my mom was going to let me go that far at the age of 18... but she did! lol.

Thats so perfectly fine! I am accustomed to using a lot of Disney lingo and jargon, so if you need help with anything, don't hesitate to ask! We all had to learn it at some point! haha.

FT CM means Full Time Cast Member. On the CP or CS you'll be a full time, but you'll be considered a FT CP/CS CM. hahha.

And being friends with is the CORRECT way to tell someone or talk about playing a character. It preserves the magic. For instances if you play Wendy Darling, you don't go tell people that! But you can say 'I'm friends with Wendy Darling!' Get it? lol.

I'm actually NEVER on Disboards, this is a rare occasion, but they have the best CP/CS/PI (professional internship) forum, as you can see!

If you have a FB, add me Stacey Galt (Philadelphia, Pa)
Or ask questions through my blog's formspring app.
I also have a YouTube http://www.youtube.com/staceywdwcp

But FB and my blog are the quickest ways to get a hold of me! I'd love to help you out with anything else you're curious about! Just let me know!

Thanks so much! :)

Yeah I've been doing SO much research on the CS and CP programs, and this forum has by far been the best help so far!

And I understand the whole friends thing now haha. Makes sense ;)

Again, thanks! :)
