Does anyone here sometimes wish they hadn't made a certain career choice, or made a different one? I do. I sometimes wish I was still in the Navy. Most of me is glad I got out, but there's that small part of me that wishes I had stayed in. I had it made, I had a place to sleep, 3 meals a day, had a cool job working the flight deck of a ship, and I got to see the world. What more could a guy ask for? All this was brought on when the aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy CV 67 made her last port call here in Boston before being decommisioned at the end of this month. I could see her at her berth from my office and she's such a beautiful looking ship. You know, If I had stayed in the Navy I'd be getting out in 2 years with 20 years and a pension. Wow, how time flies. But I was young and didn't know what I wanted, well, at least at the time I knew I didn't want the Navy. I am glad I got out, otherwise I would have never have met my wife or all the friends I have now, that I hold dear to my heart. But there's that small part of me. Well, enough of me going down memory lane. Thanks for listening.
