I don't eat them but my husband does and as I was making him scrambled eggs I noticed that each egg has 1 carb.

I hear people practically living off eggs on Atkins. Don't those carbs add up real quick?

I use fitday and it does count as some carbs- but definitely not considered a "high" carb item. I haven't heard of anyone living off eggs- but if they did it would be a heck of a lot better than living off a lot of other things (SF treats/etc.) as long as they are still getting the right amounts of fats and veggies carbs also.

I think the only way it could add up to a lot is if you ate a LOT of them every day. Even those that mention eating them as snacks probably don't like snack on 10 of them at a time or something- yanno? 1-2 usually. :)

Right, the book says .6 per egg...so three eggs would only be 1.8 carbs...not bad at all!

I plan to make deviled eggs to have on hand for the weekend because it's something the kids like, and my fiance and I can have a few over the course of the day too. :)

They do get a little boring EVERY morning for breakfast though...I think I'll have steak today.

Eggs are sooooo good for you. And full of protein, for little carbs (and calories!).

I think eggs, almonds, walnuts and avocados are about perfect foods. ;)
