Does anyone know anything about Carb Interceptors?
I was reading the Health magazine and I found an ad for a Carb Interceptor product that claims to neutralize starch found in many foods and breads.
I wonder if it works as this might be a good item for us to take with us on vacations when we just can't resist the temptations they stick in front of us.
I am doing the fat fast right now, but if I finally start to lose some weight I don't want to put it all back on during my next trip to the parks. But I do have a hard time passing up some of the foods on vacation, like Alfredo's and Le Cellier.
I don't know if this is allowed, but here is some information I pulled off their site. I tried to delete the product name so as not to get into trouble for advertising, but I have no affiliation with the product at all.
As the "building blocks of life," carbohydrates are a necessary part of the diet, and the body's primary fuel source. Carbs are converted to energy as needed, but stored as fat when there is an oversupply! ***** Starch Neutralizer, the first nutritional ingredient that has been clinically and scientifically proven to neutralize the starch found in many foods such as potatoes, pasta and breads. Containing a proprietary formula featuring standardized bean extract, it helps to keep carbohydrates from turning to fat.
******* is simple to use: Just take with a glass of water before a starch-containing meal. ***** will then "neutralize" the enzyme responsible for converting the starch into glucose (and fat), helping to reduce the absorption of starch calories and allow the carbs to pass through.*
This product is to be used in conjunction with a healthy calorie reduction and exercise program. ***** is produced only in facilities employing certified Good Manufacturing Practices.
