Car trippers - How do you pack your snacks for the road? (m)

We have an awesome cooler that has a little flip top on top of the regular opening lid. We can just use that for access to cold drinks.

What do you do with snacks? In the past, we've done a big laundry basket with all the snacks in plastic bags (in their original wrappers).

I'm wondering if there is a secret to packing snacks for the road well... (Things that don't need to be in the cooler).
