My sister's family has an early ADR at O'Hana an we are staying at AKV. I told her the best option would be a taxi at that hour of the morning. Her girls will be 6 and 2 and the 6 year old is quite small for her age and still uses a booster. Should she request a cab in advance to make sure that she gets one with two child seats? She will have the 2yo's car seat with her but she doesn't want to haul it to the Poly for breakfast and then off to the MK for the day. If she did use it, would she be able to bring it to bell services at the Poly and have them return it to AKV?

Yes you can ask for a taxi with two car seats. However it may take longer to get one. As for having baggage services transport your booster seat back, it probably won't work. They are a luggage service department not a delivery service or the mail. You could probably check it with them and pick it up after your done at the park for the day. Although then you would probably want to take a taxi back to your original resort.

You could also inquire the day before about early buses for breakfasts. They sometimes will arrange transportation but not guaranteed.

She could also use a bubble bum. It's an inflatable booster seat that is fairly compact (when deflated) and light (around a pound). Then get a taxi with a car seat and use the booster. Deflate and carry it with you. With a two year old I assume they have a stroller.

I would take the bus to the MK and either the monorail or the boat to the Poly. It will take a little longer but will keep things much simpler.

If it were me, I would just take the bus. Much easier than messing with 2 carseats in a taxi.

I doubt that bell services would take the carseats back for her.

Their breakfast reservation is at 8am and the park doesn't open until 9am. By using Disney transportation, they would need to leave the resort by about 6:45am and I am not sure how early the buses would be running. In addition, the transportation system (buses, monorail and boats) will likely be a bit crowded since it is park opening time. This could create an additional delay. If they just took a taxi from AKV to the Poly, they wouldn't have to leave until about 7:30am. That extra 45 minutes would be crucial in the morning.

I'm sure that the taxis around WDW are prepared with car seats for all ages. My concern was getting a cab with 2 seats available. I think I will look into calling the night before just to make sure that they have an available ride.

She may still consider the buses too. I told her that when we've gone resort to resort in the past, it has always taken at least an hour to do it using Disney transportation. If time permits, we will do it, but if we are trying to get to an ADR, I prefer to take the most direct route. If the taxis cannot provide 2 car seats, then she will have to take the bus anyways.

Buses start running at 6:30 every morning. They are definitely not crowded early in the morning.

You can find taxis with carseats, but keep in mind that there is no guarantee that they will be clean or safe. Boosters can be harder to find because they aren't legally required in Florida.

That good to know:thumbsup2. I will pass this information on to her and tell her that she should plan on an early morning.
