Car seat for private sedan tour?

We're looking at booking one of the private vehicles for an excursion in Europe. We will have our four-year-old with us. We don't need a carseat for any other part of the trip, so we weren't planning on bringing one. Does anyone know if it's possible to rent one or something? I'd hate to lug around a carseat for the sake of an 8-hour sedan tour, so we may need to re-think our travel plans for the day...

(I tried calling the cruise line number but was on hold forever and thought maybe someone here might know and save me the time on hold...)

We're looking at a jeep tour in st Thomas & were wondering the same thing. I found in the fine print on the excursion page for that tour where it said car seats available at request. Then after holding today online with Disney cruise for like 20 minutes, the lady I spoke with said once you register, you should be able to put in notes or something. Not sure if that's the same for Europe or not, but that was my experience with the same topic.

It depends where in Europe, but a lot of countries have car seat laws and the car seat in use has to be EU approved. I'm assuming you booked the sedan tour through DCL? If so, you have to contact them to ask. If you booked privately, contact the company.

How tall is your 4 year old? We have used the bubble bum inflatable booster before and it is great! If your child is not tall enough for a booster, your can try one of the these much pricier "Safe Ride 4 Kids" harnesses. I think for europe you have to get the one that also goes under the legs- they pack flat and you can use them legally in the US for cabs etc.

Who are you booking the tour through? If it's not DCL I'd call the tour company directly.
