Car Rentals in May

Gratton16 - use your Continental ID# and place it in the ID section of the car rental page. Should make a big difference in price. Good luck!

My rental for 8 days starting May 29th is down to $130! Used the Sam's club code and $40 coupon.

What is the sam's club code. i have a sam's card, but can't find anything on there website. Thanks for the help.

I've been serching and trying a LOT of codes for my upcoming trip at the end of May using the ALAMO rental car... A LOT

And one of the BEST ids and coupon codes i found was this:

If you are an AMEX card user put this on I.D./Corp I.D. 7014291 15% off and combine it with Coupon code : AD4027JDO $40 off(for this coupon you have to be an INSIDER member, but hey! it free to join!)

If you are NOT an AMEX card user, the best code you can use is, I.D. / Corp I.D. 430710 10% off(Walmart code, open to anyone) and combine it with Coupon code : AD4027JDO $40 off(Alamo insiders, free to join)

Just my .2 cents

THANKS SO MUCH!!! I just changed my 6/1-6/8 full size to these codes and got it down to $135.88! I wanted to use our Amex anyway so this works perfectly. We originally started at $245 w/Budget and thanks to the boards, have gotten progressively lower rentals w/Alamo. I thought my Costco code was the lowest but this beats them by far.

Now to hope that we can all survive the week in a full size. We plan to pack light so hopefully it will work out.

Thanks for posting everyone! I was able to get a 6 day minivan rental from Alamo for $213 total using the $40 off coupon and the 25% BJs discount! That's less than my last bid on Priceline that was rejected!

Does anyone know if Alamo charges for an additional driver? The website says that locations vary...we're renting at MCO.

I think additional driver is free if you are an alamo insiders member. May also be free with some codes(sams club id gets you a free driver).

well i had to join the insiders thing to use the $40 off code, so that part is covered...wonder if they'll let me use my Sams ID for the free driver along with the BJs code for the discount...is the Sams thing a code?

I believe if you are an Alamo Insider member, your spouse can drive the car for free as long as their ID shows the same home address.

At least that's what we're planning to do.

nevermind...just did the online confirmation/checkin thing and put both drivers on it and it says additional driver included :cool1:. Thanks again!

I had a standing reservation with Budget for an SUV through carrentalsavers for the past five months at $250 for the week (April 30 - May 7), with taxes $328. Renting for seven days, starting at Sanford and dropping off at MCO.

Today a Priceline quote of $29 per day ($285 total with taxes) with Alamo went through.

And the previous posters are correct. If you sign up for the Alamo Insiders card, then you can add additional drivers for free as long as they have the same address as the Insiders member and meet other legal renter requirements.

Been whittling my rate down for weeks, started at $259 back in Feb. Now, with this one, I have a standard (at MCO it will wind up a full size, as they do not have standard there), 9 full days, 5/2-10, $159.40. I had $169 this AM with National. To me, Alamo is National, with a kiosk. Thanks for the AMEX code.

Just checked my Alamo rates once again and found that they came down from 157.85 to 141.00 for a full size vehicle. We are picking the car up at MCO and returning it in at Sanford Airport.:cool1::worship: I used the Alamo coupon for 30$ off and the BJ's contract ID 7014696

My rates went from $170 to $146 today for a midsize through Alamo
cpn-ad4027jdo and 7015309 for 8 days 9 hours. Hope this can help someone.
Still planning on checking daily until we leave.

This is why I tell people that priceline may work well in other cities but not MCO. 1 week Alamo, mid-sized rental beginning 5/4 is now $95.13. How low can it go? 11 more days to find out.

I have 4 weeks to go...about when do you see the rates start to fall? mine is holding steady at $115 still (3 days fullsize rental)

did you try the $40 coupon? AD4027JDO

I'm dying here with my Weds-Sat dates. Coupons are either for shorter or longer stays. Argh. I'm still over $200 with taxes both National and Alamo
