Car Rentals for May

Anybody have any good weekly rates for May 17-24, I thought I had booked a special dollar car rental for $133 but when I tried to retrieve it was no longer there. The prices right now are around $300. I am so counting on finding it for a reasonable amount since my budget for this trip is very tight! I will be picking up in Orlando airport and dropping off the same place. Thanks for any responses.

I'm going May 10-17. I was checked from Jan-March every 2-3 days.

I eventually got a full-size for $165 including all taxes/fees! Unfortunately for the last 2-3 weeks its been in the $250-$300 range. Unfortunately, I think you missed the window for good rates.

Keep checking faithfully.... every day! The prices for rental cars fluctuate like crazy! I find that my best deals have come from checking a few of my favorite agencies over and over and by going through Costco Travel (if you are a member). Our Dis friends over on the transportation board also have lots of great suggestions, ideas, codes, etc!! It is never too late~! Last year I didn't even book my late May Disney trip until about 4 weeks out and I still got great deals on everything!.................P

We're doing a one-way rental from Tampa with National because it was about a quarter of the cost over renting in Orlando. So....it will cost us 90 minutes of driving, plus gas for that extra 75 miles (so what, maybe 3 or 4 gallons max....so less than $20). And our savings is over $700.

Oh, and it was cheaper to fly into Tampa too (we use points, but less points means a savings too)



Edited because I put $400 in savings, but meant to put my car rental is just under $400 from Tampa and it would have been just over $1100 in Orlando....this is for 3 weeks.
