Car rental with AP discount

Hi everyone. Dh and I decided to rent a car for our upcoming trip. I know that you can get an AP discount for Alamo, but I was wondering how they verify that you are an AP holder? I ordered our AP from member services and was given a number to link it to our my Disney experience but we won't get anything tangible until we get there. Is this going to be a problem? TIA.

Sorry, I can't answer your question, but how did you book at Alamo with AP discount? Is there a specific coupon code? Do you need to call to book over the phone? I was trying to figure this out earlier today.

There is a code. Its on the passholders website. I haven't booked it yet because I'm concerened about what they are going to ask me. I'm trying to call them but have been on hold forever.

We booked through the Alamo at the Dolphin with the AP discount and they never asked to see our AP. This was last month. Did Disney send you the plastic voucher things to turn in for the AP? That would probably work just fine.

No they didn't send us anything. They just gave me that confirmation number and said that I can redeem them when we get there.

Did you link the will call # to your MDE account? If so, you could always pull it up on your phone to show if asked (or print out a screen capture & bring with you if you are concerned).
