I just can't figure out these car rental rates...there's no rhyme or reason to them! I've been checking frequently for National rates the last week of April. Using various contract IDs, they've fluctuated anywhere between $225 and $600 for an intermediate for 8 days. I was checking again last night and plugged in the BJs code and a $25 coupon from Mousesavers. The base rate came up as $150! :cool1: With taxes and fees, it jumped up to $197, but that's the lowest I've seen lately. I had just checked the night before and the lowest came up at $225 base. It's just crazy!

Just goes to show you that you have to keep checking all the time! I don't think I'll get a much lower price, but you can bet I'm still going to check!

I truly cannot thank you enough for posting this! We have a very late night arrival and the best rate we could get was with Dollar. National had been at least 2 times the rate we had with Dollar. I was not so happy with not having the EI option....looked this am and it is down a huge amount...only $26 more than my Dollar rate...definately worth the $26.00 to not have to stand in line:banana:

I guess I should have said in my original post that I used the AAA code as we are members of AAA.

5190257 got me the lowest rate for April 16-27th.
I don't see a $25 off intermediate car am I missing something? $35 more than Dollar but I really think the benefit of going straight to the garage is worth it!
