Hi everyone,
I have 2 different reservations for this upcoming March Break at Ft Myers airport- only ever done MCO so hopefully it is similar. Anyhow- have a mini van booked for about $460 and an SUV booked for about $450.
This morning I get an email from Southwest about a car rental discount with Budget. I clicked the link, plugged in my info and it is showing a minivan price of HALF what my current reservation is. Here is my question- they want you to plug in your credit card and pay in advance. I have never done that before. I always reserve without plugging in my credit card info. From what I can tell it is Unlimited Mileage which is what I want.

THOUGHTS????? Do I pay in advance?
Any help ASAP would be awesome!
Thanks!

Is the rate non-refundable? You need to determine that first. That's what I would be concerned about. If you were 99% sure you would not cancel then do it.

I have done a prepay before with UT but it was for a rate I felt others could not touch prior to our trip (and was never matched anywhere else prior to us actually needing). Being March Break, you are really near and if you have checked out other rental options out of Ft. Myers and nothing comes close, as long as you can stomach that a cheaper rate may still be possible, go for it.

Personally I'd prepay given as close as you are, but then stop checking rates and be happy with the prepaid reservation you have. Just make sure the cost is an all in price (taxes, fees, etc) so when comparing to your existing reservations, it's an apple to apple comparison.

Thanks!
It says that your credit card won't be charged until you return the car but doesn't say anything about being refundable....
Looks like the fee is all in including taxes

Have you repriced the reservations you already have? If one site is coming down, your reservations might be, too.
