Car rental for Vero Beach

We are planning to rent a car at MCO and drive to VB. Do I need to pre pay for the tolls via the car rental company or is that a rip off so to speak and I should just take some coins with me? TIA!

Also, is there a charge to park at the resort for non-members?

If you take 528 (Beachline) to 95 South then you will only have 2-3 tolls on 528 which will be less than 3.00 total each way. If you take Florida Turnpike there are tolls but I don't know how much. I don't think there is a parking fee at Vero,

There is currently only one toll between the airport and I95 if you head out SR528. That toll is $1.50. There is a new toll booth under construction now and when it opens, the $1.50 toll will be divided between those two booths.

There are cash lanes at this toll booth so there is no need to use the toll option from the rental company.

You should check with the rental company to make sure you are opted out so you don't end up paying twice plus their service fee.

No parking fee @ Vero, but we did go into downtown Vero Beach for dinner, and I think the parking was metered.

there are no charges to park at DVB resort.

I would not do a pre-pay on tolls from a rental - some of those deals charge you like $5 per DAY for that....as mentioned there's little-to none (depending on route) tolls from MCO to VB.
