The lighting at night makes it feel so much like the movie. The first time I rode it was at night, and I actually teared up because it was so well done. I'm such a Disney sap! We waited to the side at the Fastpass machine until it came to a time after sunset. I'm glad we did!

Oh, wow, really? That's so awesome! I love that movie and the whole look of everything in it, and everything. I think I'll be just like you with the tears, lol! I'm a big Disney sap, too, lol! Every time I think about are upcoming trip and going into Walt's first park, that he was actually in, I tear up or cry! This is our first trip there, but actually my second. I was there with my family back in probably '65, I think. And, my Mom took my 2 year old brother off to find the bathrooms, I said no I'll stay with Dad, and we saw Mary Poppins fly! Sort of cool I suppose, but my Mom and brother? They met Walt Disney!! And I'm the Disney freak, lol! Still so jealous! And, my Mom has been gone since I was young, and my Dad didn't remember anything, so I don't know anymore than that. But, it makes me tear up knowing my Mom was a Disney fan, and I'm going back to where we were together, lol. Disney Sap! I've been thinking that must be why I tear up and expect to cry when we go there, lol, as well as it's Walt's park, and how thanksful I am that he started all of this. Gotta ride his fave horse on the carousel, and see the Tiki birds, and, well gotta figure what else were his fave rides, lol. Okay, I should be quiet, lol, very sappy indeed, sorry!

So how late in the day did you snag those later fast passes, if you remember? And, if my fast pass is in the evening, and I get it earlier in the day, when can I get fast passes for in between? It's been a couple years since I've used paper fastpass from WDW, so forgot the timing, lol.

We grabbed the passes for Radiator Springs as soon as the FP machine opened in the morning at California Adventure, but stood aside at the dispenser until the time came up that we wanted. It was during Spring Break last time we were there, so I think they went a lot faster than they might usually. If you're going in the first couple of weeks in April, I expect it will still be Spring Break busy, so I wouldn't put off getting FPs until later in the day. It's a great ride day or night, but I love love love it at night!

Thank you, kyrkea333! Yep, you are right, it will mean a lot! I'm hoping I remember somethings from when I was there when I was little, but I'm thinking I probably won't, lol. And if things seem familiar, I'm betting it'll because I'm a WDW vet, lol, and it's Disney, lol, but you never know!
Well, we are going May 7-14, so probably busy on the weekend, but some lighter weekdays hopefully! We'll probably try for a FP for a later spot, and then if there's a time with low lines, maybe we'll get to hop on some time earlier! Definitely wanna ride it at after yours, and others, excitement for a nighttime ride!

I see you are going about 2,3 weeks before we go, so I hope you all have a magical, full of pixie dust trip!
