car hire uk license fax copy ?

Hi all,

I've had my uk drivers license stolen.

I'm in kissimmee for 2 weeks and want to hire a car. I spoke to DVLA who said they offer a fax/phone service for hire companies.

Does anyne know of any car hire companies that I could use that would allow this ?

Have you considered contacting the British Vice-Consulate?
The telephone number is (407)581-1540 and the fax number is (407)581-1550. They are open 9 to 5 (closed for lunch from 1-2pm.

They probably have encountered this many times and would have a good solution for you.
