Car Hire Question

Normally when we go to Orlando it's just the two of us, so we hire as small a car as possible to save on money (more for spending at the Malls!) and if we can't fit the luggage in the boot, we've always got the back seat to use as well.

However, our next trip may well be with four adults. Now fitting four adults in a Full Size car is no problem, but what about the luggage for the trips to and from the airport?

There'll be four large suitcases (and I mean HUGE - not just standard sized) with a very strong possibility of a fifth on the way home - yes, that shopping I mentioned earlier...!

Anyone with experience of how big Dollar and Alamo's cars REALLY are? I've seen the diagrams on their website of what the think they can get in a car, and I'm not sure I believe them!

So what size car do you think we'll need? Fullsize, Premium, Luxury? Or is this an SUV job!

If the luggage is as you say go for a 7 seater, from Dollar it is called a Dodge Grand Caravan, few years ago me DH, 1 yr old son and mum in law had a full size and could not get everything in! pretty embarrasing.

We usually hire an I4 for the four of us and no we do not think that four LARGE cases would fit in the trunk- we've managed three or two large and one small, but I think you will have to go for a larger size than Intermediate.
