Car Hire - not dollar!!!

Hello,

We are off on the 9th May, when we have been before we have always booked our car hire with Dollar, and it always has long queue, and after a long flight and with 3 kids running around - not what we need!!!! but the carhire desk next door and further down are always empty - so can anyone recommend another carhire company at the airport that is not Dollar???

Dollar has a program called FastLane and it's free to join. Using it, you have a separate line and I've never had more than one person in front of me. I usually actually have the car before the family collects the luggage.

Could this be done if you book a Dollar car through an agent such as Airline Network ? They gave me a much better price than Dollar themselves

If memory serves, I already had an existing ressie before joining FastPass and called their 800 number to get the ressie put on the program. If 800 service isn't available from where you are, I'd join anyway as it's free and get the ressie put on via e-mail.

If there is only one driver we found that myself (the only driver in our household) and youngest DS go straight to the dollar desk whilst DH and eldest DS retrieve the luggage for the second time, I have always been standing for at least 20 mins waiting for them so that when they arrive we are straigt off, and doing it that way we have never encountered a queue as most people wait to collect luggage togther before going to the car hire desk. It would work with any car hire co. but all drivers would have to be there!!
