Car Hire Help..

Hi All.

i have done a search on here but could not find any answers,

Does anybody know if you can arrange car hire when you actually arrive in DW at any of the resort hotels ???

Also if you can is it much more expensive than booking it in advance from the UK ?

Reason being we are going to make use off the free DME transport to and from the airport and hopefully then have car hire for about 7 - 10 days over our holiday duration so we can then get out and about when we need too !

You can pre-book from the UK to pick up at the Disney Car Care Center (near Magic Kingdom) or the Dolphin Hotel so you get cheap prices but can also use ME.

Just walking up to the desk and hiring a car is always going to be more expensive than pre-booking.

There is the car care centre near Magic Kingdom, someone will give you advise on renting from there. Or if you can get a Disney bus to DTD and walk across to one of the hotels on Hotel Blvd towards Crossroads some of the rental companies have offices there.

You can rent there but will cost at least double. Someone post a few week back had to extend for a day as their flight was cancelled, paid £25/day to Virgin but £90 to extend for 1 day. My Brother rented in Vegas last minute, cost him over double and he is very good at negotiating.

Personally I would rent for the whole holiday and leave it in the car park but I hate Disney transport.
You really need to decide in advance and book it in UK.

Do all car hire companies use the dolphin hotel as a pick up point ? Or does anybody know which hire companies allow collection and drop off there ???

As far as I know Alamo is the only company where you can pick up from the Dolphin.

As David says its Alamo. For both Dolphin and Car care centre
Yes car hire have some competative rates just now but get quotes from all brokers that sell Alamo.

Anybody used car hire 3000 they can arrange pick up at the disney dolphin also ???? How far is disney dolphin from DTD or can you get a bus there from your DW resort hotel ???
