We want to avoid spending the $200 on a TV console set for the car and just bring my son's small 13" TV and VCR (not all one unit - they are separate) with us in the Van on the 24 hour ride to WDW.

Does anyone know if a 12 Volt car adapter would run both things? Or if not, what kind of adapter should we get for them?

The TV can sit on the floorboard between me and DH (facing the kids) and the VCR can go under the seat.

Thanks!!

You do not mention if these are AC/DC units - if the are each should have come with an adapter that can be plugged into the car.

If they are not you will need to purchase at the minimum a 300 watt Inverter. This inverter will plug into your car and should have 2 AC outlets on it to plug in the TV and VCR.

One word of caution - do not run these for a very long period of time if the car is not running - it is really a drain on the battery.

An inverter like this will run somewhere in the neighborhood of $40.00 - $80.00 depending on where you find it and what brand it is.
