We are sailing on the Wonder to Alaska in a few weeks and have a question:

I understand there is a Captain's Reception one evening--it's formal night and they pass cocktails and all. Is the reception always at 5pm for all passengers, or is there a second reception for second dining? We have the late/second dining time and we want to make sure we make the reception.

On our MR cruise (on the Wonder) the Captains Welcome Reception was held at 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm in the atrium.

:cutie:

There is a later event (after the show but before late dinner but while main seating is eating).

The captains reception will be Tuesday night/formal night of your cruise. The times are 5:00 and 7:30. It is the only time cocktails are free. You can take pictures with Captain Thor.

I thought all the shows happened twice, yes? So the Golden Mickeys, there's an early show for us late diners, and a late show for early diners. Ya? Just clarifying!

Thanks all!

For the record, it's not "open bar." The staff comes around with trays of 3-4 different drinks (one non-alcoholic) The trays are all the same 4 drinks.

However, they are not stingy, there are lots and lots of servers.

Is there a dress code?
No, except that you do have to be wearing clothes. Everyone is dressed in what they’re wearing to dinner so some are dressed up and most aren’t. There are also people not participating in the reception walking through the area the whole time so feel free to wear whatever you want.

I'll also note that there aren't tickets to the reception. If you'd like to attend both, that is just fine.
