We currently have a ressie for the Captains Grill before we go to the Osborne Light show in 3 weeks. We wanted to try something different. Has anyone eaten there recently? We are staying at WL and have our car so should we keep that or try the Grand FLoridan Cafe? These are both 2 places we have never tried so if you have enjoyed either recently would love to know. We like Steak and Seafood dishes the best.

We've not eaten at Captain's Grill yet but we think the menu look great. Since you are going to DHS afterward I'd go with CG. I'd park my car at DHS and take the boat to the Yacht Club

We have stayed at both and both were really good meals but from start to finish GFC was the better of the two...we loved it!

I enjoy them both for dinner. Both are convenient for your plans as long as you valet. I would pick by what appeals to you on the menu.

The menu's both look good to us so I just wanted to find out if one was better for fish and steak dishes/kid friendly meals. We are eating at 1900 park fare later in the week so I thought going to a different resort for a meal we have never been to would be good.

Well, I much preferred a halibut (I think;) ) dish at Captain Grill to tilapia at GFC but that was on separate trips. My DIL loves a shrimp and pasta dish at GFC. I haven't ordered steak at either place but would expect it to be of similar quality as they are mid range restaurants.

I think it's a fun idea to visit Y&BC since you're already going to the GF for 1900. But personally, I'd pick both GF Cafe and Captain Grill over 1900.:goodvibes Catching the characters at breakfast is better foodwise I think. I have read that the evil stepsisters are very funny at dinner though.

Hope others are along to help with kids meals and more opinions on steak and fish. BTW, I looked and neither fish dish I had is even on the menus now. They do change things all the time which is good!

Anyway, I don't think you can go wrong. Bon apetit!
