Does anyone remember how long Captain EO is supposed to remain at DLR and WDW? Wondering if I might be able to catch while at either location next year. TIA!

Thanks Kathy! Is the same true for the electrical parade? I'm wondering if there is any chance it will be around in March? I love Spectro so I would be sad not to see it. But would mind seeing what is there currently.

Oh this is GREAT news! I will be there in November, sooooo hoping it is still open and we can catch it : )

Disney did not give a close date for Captain Weird-O. I would bet it will be around for at least a couple of years or so.

According to a fairly reliable source the new (so far unnamed) sponsor of the Imagination Pavilion says they like Captain EO much more than the Honey I Shrunk the Audience movie.

this is awesome news! i was hoping to check it out while im there in 2 weeks! :thumbsup2

For the most part, attendance will be the determining factor of how long Captain WO will be there. At Disney, there is a built in attendance for most of it's attractions and right now it's probably getting a bump in attendance because it's new. Once the newness wears off, we'll find out. My guess is 2 to 3 years. It also depends upon budget constraints for a new attraction. This pavilion has always seemed to be an out of sight out of mind pavilion for Disney, evidenced by the fact that Figment is still there.

I just hope in the meantime they are working on something better to replace HISTA when Captain EO ends. Don't know where it is in WDW, but in DLR that space could be used to revitalize Tomorrowland.

I've seen Captain EO at both DisneyLand and DisneyWorld and the shows really are quite different.

We liked the one at DisneyWorld much better and found that the audio was clearer (we heard dialog that we missed at DL) and there were many more special effects.

WDW also has a nifty pre-show that DL doesn't.

I am not a Michael Jackson fan at all and have very strong negative feelings about him regarding the "alleged" abuse of children. That being said, I really enjoyed Cpt EO and my 15 month old daughter danced through the entire last half of the show! She loved it!

My brother described it as "Dancing Borgs with mullets". ;)

both of these gems need taps blown over them.............

you take that back!

Yes, I'm sorry. My answer was incomplete. I should have said; "Evidenced by the fact that Figment is still there and they also put Captain Weird-O there as well." They're a perfect fit. A perfect fit for Six-Flags.

You're breaking my heart hookedonears. Captain EO is a classic. the first time I saw it was on videotape at home. I was able to see in In Disneyland when I went in August. I am excited to see the differences that iggipolka has mentioned, when I go in 3.5 wks to WDW.

To each his own, but that show is a classic. The same goes for MSEP- a classic and cannot wait to see it in a few weeks.
