Captain EO, the worst attraction ever.

Captain EO was the worst, lamest excuse for an attraction I’ve ever seen. Absolutely dreadful. With all the great ideas that could have been put into that space for Disney to throw in some old crappy 80’s video is almost inexcuseable. I never came so close to walking out of an attraction. If it hadn’t been so dark in there, I would have run for the exit. This monstrosity needs replaced asap.

Of course, no one was more "child friendly" than this pedophile. Shame on you Disney.

The kids don't know about his freaky-weird side or his alleged crimes, so they aren't hurt by it.

In it's day, it was a fine attraction.

Now it is old and boring and worse than HISTA.

I can't decide if EO or Stitch is the worse attraction. :confused3

While I am not a fan either because it is old and showing its age, many people do like it.Different strokes for different folks.I think the WHOLE Imagination pavilion in general is abysmal , but thats only my opinion

I happen to enjoy it, and am a huge MJ fan. If you don't like it, don't go see it :confused3 No one will like everything.

i am a huge MK fan and never got to see it the first time around so i was excited to see it on a recent visit. now that i have seen it.....

i can say i saw it....and i never want to see it again. it's like South of the Border, once is plenty.

Either you're the only person on the planet who didn't know this video featured MJ, to say nothing of his tabloid past, or it didn't bother you enough to stay away. Either way, since it was once a headliner and I've never seen it, it'll be on my 'To Do' list next month.

I agree that Stitch has gotten pretty lame. We usually only make it to Disney once per year but I don't think I have ever seen the Captain EO attraction...I just assumed the few times that I saw it mentioned that it was an old attraction that had since been closed. So it still exists? Where is it? Is it a show (the whole YouTube is it a ride? video about TGMR just popped into my head)?

I think it's an interesting look back at what used to be the most expensive (per minute) film ever produced.

Plus there are no snakes or mice.

It's in the old space of "Honey, I shrunk the Kids". (Now it's "Honey, I Just Wasted an hour of our Vacation") It's not a ride, you stand there and watch a ridiculous long music video. If you want to see it, watch it on YouTube, don't waste precious Disney vacation hours on this "un" attraction.

I'm sorry, when was he found guilty? Was this after his death? I must have missed that major news event.
Gotta agree with a previous poster, if you already had a preconceived notion about him, why torture yourself with this attraction?

Wow...you seem really bitter for having to watch something. I'm sorry!

We enjoyed it (when I was 10 and again with my children last year). To each his own...:confused3

My grandchildren loved it:thumbsup2

I'm a fan too, reminds me of when I saw it as a kid. Sister and Brother-in-law never saw it until last summer at DL and they loved it too, went a saw it a 2nd time without us.

Not for everyone, but its like most of fantasyland, from a totally adult perspective, not too exciting, but when you have the whole nostalgia aspect it makes it better.

Agreed. If you didn't like the film, fine. But I don't think there is any reason to bring up old allegations. And allegations is all they were.

Love it, was so happy to see it in December. My kids loved it too, but then again, they don't make judgements on entertainment based on news (Right 2 1/2 men fans???)

Right...and I'm not really 62 years old, I just look old because I missed my nap in day care. I agree that he was never found guilty and neither was OJ, but sometimes justice just falls on its face.

Captain EO sucked when it was first shown when EPCOT opened (which is why it was taken out) and it sucks now. The only reason it was put in at all was to capitalize on the tragic death of Michael Jackson. How does that make all you MJ fans feel, used perhaps?

I happen to have enjoyed it. The dude was a complete freak---and not in a good way---but he can perform. Plus, how can you not root for someone trying to save the world through song and dance? ;)

I guess I'm with the others who wonder if you knew what the attraction was when you walked in. I mean, Michael Jackson is pretty prevalent in the posters as you approach the theater -- did you not see them? If you DID see them, and you DID know that MJ was in it, then it's kind of silly to pull up the whole "shame on you Disney" thing after the fact, since that obviously didn't deter you from going in. It kind of reads that because you didn't like the show, Disney is scum for having put "this pedophile" in an attraction. But if you had thought the show was good, it would have all been okay.

If you feel so strongly about how horrid the attraction is -- whether it's because you don't quite get that it WAS an 80s attraction and is, therefore, bound by that technology and you think that's wrong, or whether it's because you don't like Michael Jackson the person -- then write to Disney and tell them. But if you're just mad at yourself because you didn't think to check on what the thing was before you walked in and so now you're going to toss the blame on Disney for somehow forcing you to watch it ... well ... then shame on you.
