Captain Cook's at the Poly

My family is staying at the Poly for the first time in May 2006. I saw a menu from Captain Cook's and it looked limited. We like to have a quick breakfast in the morning before heading out to the parks. I didn't see items like bagels, muffins or danish on the menu. Does anyone know if they offer quick bites such as these?

Any info on any food offerings would be appreciated!!!

We were there in August 2003 and there were muffins, but can't remember if there were bagels or danish...

Hi, I know that they have muffins and danish but I have never looked for bagels so I don't know about that. They have plenty of fast pick up items that you can grab and pay for quickly. They have pre-made salads and fruit bowls and cheeses or sandwiches as well for lunch and dinner. The menu you saw must have just included the made to order items they offer.

Yes, Captain Cooks offers those kind of things along with doughnuts, cereal, fresh fruit, etc..

There is also a coffee bar right by the monorail entrance on the second floor that offers some breakfast goodies and fruit.

We really liked Capt. Cooks when we stayed at the Polynesian on our last trip. It was always really clean and I like the booths they have. They have Lilo & Stitch coloring pages for kids to color and then they hang them up on the wall for everyone to see. We would go there at like 1 or 2 am each night after coming back from Pleasure Island and there was always the same guy working there all night long- he was SO bored and was always happy to see someone to talk to

We found Captain Cooks to be the one place where the Poly is lacking(we are huge fans of the Poly). However, most of the meals are adequate, and the pastries and such were really good. If thats what you are looking for you should be pleased.

I remember some toasters being available for bagels. As others have said, this is an okay place for breakfast, but other food courts do have more to offer.

The coffee bar on the second floor is great for a morning coffee - kona style!
