Welcome to the first edition of Cap's Conversation Corner. Today's topic is the following..

It has been rumored that a Pirates of the Caribbean 4 may come out if they can get the same actors, but many (myself included) don't think it is such a good idea.

Here is my reasoning behind not wanting a PotC 4. Pirates of the Caribbean 1 and 2 were awesome! Don't get me wrong. But with each addition of movies to a franchise, I find that it cheapens the entire franchise. If there was a Pirates 4, then I feel that they would just be trying to get a run for their money by taking a great movie and simply keep rolling out with more sequels for sake of profit. That is what cheapens movie franchises. I think that 3 pirate movies will be enough to just make PotC as successful and popular as it is/should be without the rumored 4th.

So what are your thoughts?

Well, i believe the rumor is fake because alot of people say worlds end will be the last one. And i was looking on movie websites about it and it says that the director says it will be the last one. Remember: -My Thought-

I agree (it is the same as; Really OT: Shrek it was said to have 8 sequels) it also weakens the story e.g First one was great then they added parts to two and three coming soon. Adding more again would just be like reading a very long book that repeats itself.

Initially, I was disappointed to see that they were making a sequel to PotC, since most sequels are terrible. Not only was the sequel awesome, it actually lived up to its predecessor. I'm assuming, since PotC 3 will pick up exactly where PotC 2 left off, it should be equally as good. If the rumor is true about a fourth movie, however, it is unlikely that it will follow directly after PotC 3, whic means the storyline will most likely be a stretch and it will be terrible, but I was wrong about part 2, I could be wrong about part 4.
