I need some insight on either of these resturants. We will be in Animal Kingdom that day. There are extra magic hours that day but I am not sure if we need them mor not.:wizard: I wanted to try the lobster tail but I am not sure. I also really have not seen any reviews for Yak and Yeti. thanks for any help.

It depends on what you enjoy the most. Captn Jacks gets a bad rep sometimes in reviews but we were very pleased with both the service and the food. It is really nice to get the lobster if you are on the DDP. Great deal and good food. Yak & Yeti is really good also, but obviously very different from Captn' Jacks. Yak & Yeti seemed to have some different types of food. It was excellent. Which place will be more convenient for you? Do you prefer "normal" foods or something a bit different? I don't think you can go wrong with either choice but it will depend on what foods you enjoy or what is easier for you to visit.

I like all kinds of food but I ama pescatarian. I do not eat any flesh beside seafood. Most of the time i am a vegetarian and do eat seafood when I go to a resturant. My husband on the other hand makes up for my lack of meat eating. He is a complete carnivore! I want to try the lobster since I am on the dining plan. I am not sure what options he will have at Captain Jacks.
I am hoping the food is OK since I do already have the ADR but I am getting really nervous after reading some of the reviews.

Also does Yak and Yeti allow you to use the dining plan for 1 TS credit there?

I ama pescatarian.

I'm a Methodist:rotfl:

I can answer the TS question - Yak & Yeti's is only 1. I've got an ADR there in September.

I ate at Cap'n Jacks YEARS ago and was unimpressed - but it was so long ago you really can't base any decisions on that.

It took me a minute LOL. I guess Yak and Yeti is on the dining plan then. I think I may change it this way we would not have to worry about transportation to DD.

The shrimp tempura dish looks pretty good. Has anyone ever had it? It think my husband was interested in ribs. The atmosphere looks very interesting at Yak and Yeti can anyone direct me to further reviews?

Have had two great meals at Captain Jack's and a not so great meal at the Yak and Yeti. I guess it all depends on the day and the server.:confused3
