Dec. 28-Jan2.....Are there any WI Badger fans who will be at Disney during the Capital One Bowl Bash?? Are you getting a package deal for the game? Will you be hitting the WDW parks? Share your story for those who can only dream of being there. Go Badgers!!! :cheer2:

I'm trying to talk my husband into forking out the money for the game. We've even got some WDW passes that don't expire so we'd be set. But I have a feeling we'll be home watching it on TV too though.

However, I'm an Auburn fan. War Eagle! :paw:

ok ok if you have two big ten fans here i will say go SEC!!!

and of course the sec champs my favorite team the georgia bulldogs i went to the capital one bowl two yrs. ago when UGA played Purdue it was fun!!!!! but this year i will be going to a BCS bowl bout an hour away (i finally get to spend new yrs. at home i wish i would be in pasedena) from here!!! cause you can't spell Sugar without UGA Go Dawgs!!!! :cool1:

My Dh and his parents are going.
They do plan to go to the parks. DH bought the air tickets on Expedia (I think, anyway). He's using DVC points to stay at OKw one night and SSR the rest.

We (including my DW, DD13, DS12, DS1) are going  . This will be our first bowl game since the '99 Rose Bowl, and the first that the kids will be attending. We will be meeting my sister's family (now lives on the east coast) whom we vacation with often, since they have a DD12 and DS10.

We booked our flights a couple weeks ago (praying that the Badgers did, in fact, receive the bowl bid). We have a couple 2 bedroom condos just outside the Animal Kingdom (through RCI).

Planning on spending 4-5 days at Disney, plus attending the game (obviously). We also will try to get to at least one Badger rally/event. The kids have no idea yet.

GO BUCKY :cheer2:

It would be SO cool to plan this as a surprise for DH, and we even just got our new AP's, but I too think with the holiday, we'll be watching it at home.

While I will be rooting for Texas to win the National Championship, but I would like to go to see Wisconsin play for two reasons, I could go to WDW and we could see a friend of my son's who plays for Wisconsin. But, alas since we were just there at Thanksgiving I think we will be watching this one from home.

Although we are Hawkeye fans here in Iowa City, we will be cheering for the Badgers as well . . . Go BIG TEN!!!

A final win for Barry Alvarez would be great . . . and sorry about that last game at Camp Randall stadium . . .

Iowa won the Capital One bowl last year by beating LSU with a last minute touchdown pass, so GO WISCONSIN, and keep the Big Ten going!

Oh man, I'm so sick of the Big 10, I am a Pac 10 fan, Cal specifically. honestly, i don't see the big 10 doing very well it there bowl games, they have a lot of uphill battles to play.

We have a Dec.trip planned (in fact we leave in 5 days) So going to the Capital One bowl is out. Even though are Aps will still be valid. :sad:The whole family is Wisconsin Alumni (Dad even played in the '60 Rose Bowl)with one Geogia DAWG by marriage. We have accepted UGA with open arms, But our allegiance will always be to Bucky. Wish we could be there. GO BUCKY :cheer2:

I'm a Bama fan...as you can see by my signature..but I've always thought highly of the Wisconsin program and Alvarez in particular. My son, a huge Bama fan, is a Wisconsin fan as well (well....you know, one of the teams he likes as long as they are not playing Alabama!). Because of all that, I will be rooting for the Badgers to do well. My hubby is an Auburn fan, so I try to root for them :confused3 when then don't play Bama...but this one makes it hard!

Unlike the other poster, I am not "sick of the Big 10". I think the Big 10 has one of the same problems the SEC has: so many of the teams are very good that it is extremely hard to come out of the season undefeated. I often wonder how some of these other teams would fair if they played a conference schedule as tough as the SEC and Big 10.

As much as I hate to agree with an Alabama fan. You are absolutely right! The SEC gets no respect...

Oops, I've just become one of those Disers that bug me by hijacking a thread for my own personal agenda. Please accept my humble apologies...

SEC gets no respect? look at youll bowl games!!!! all of your bowl games are Dec 30th or later, and all but one your teams are facing ranked opponents! High pay out bowl games? what the hell more do you guys want? Your not NC contenders this year, yet you will be going to the biggest bowl games. The pac 10 as a whole only has one bowl game vs a ranked opponent (Texas) yet we have 3 teams in the top 25. Quit your whining you guys are in the highlight bowl games.

first of all plz don't use that language on the dis i was going to just keep calm bout this but if USC played in the SEC they would not have been undefeated and last year auburn would have beat them (much as i hate to say it) but look at the pac 10 had a team lose to a 1aa school :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: !!!

So what if Stanford lost to UC Davis? One game wow, plus lets take the academic standards of the Pac 10 and compare them to the SEC. Stanford has the highest standards of academics of any football team in the nation, the requirement use to be AT LEAST a 1150 out of 1600 (before new scoring system) on your SATs just to be eligible. Your right though, the Pac 10, doesn't regard football that high, academics come first at our colleges, and I am very willing to accept that fact.

ya i agree 100 % it might be harder to get in there but anyway i was just playing bout putting football before school my mom would kill me if i every did that

Just wanted to say, we'll be watching from Auburn. (We're leaving Disney and Universal on December 29, so we can't stay for the bowl game.) Hope you have a great time at Disney, but I gotta say, hope you don't enjoy the game so much!

War Eagle!

Beat those Badgers! (This part written by 10 year old Auburn fan DS)

Have you ever heard "always the bridesmaid but never the bride"? Do you think a conference should just settle because hey look at all the teams we got playing conference games? YES we want MORE. Go SEC!!

Wareagle

PS Sorry Badger fans...this thread is supposed to be for you. :confused3

um, you need an undefeated team to get to the NC, yes auburn did it, but we don't need to debate that here. see the problem is the best recruits in the country come from california, florida, and texas. meaning outside of the gators you guys are often SOL
