Breakfast and FUN FACTOR was great!.... but food was just a nice breakfast buffet.... nothing that goes over-the-top for real foodies. ( I paid $30 for my wife, and all she wanted was a grapefruit....I could've killed her LOL) But we had lots of fun and i did get her to try a few more "fattening things" before we left. (She liked the little egg pizzas for originality).

We loved it! A great start to the day, before hitting the pool on a non-park day.

It was great...but not like the $50 a plate Breakfast Buffets we get at our Country Club back home, or my parent's Yacht Club in Sarasota. Now that's serious foodie exotics. Cape May was just a Good fun breakfast.

Last time we were there was for dinner in 06. We did not enjoy it--they did not do a good job of keeping the seafood replenished, and the sides were so-so. The outstanding dessert selections kept it from being a total dud. Maybe we just caught them on a bad evening.

We always go to Cape May every trip. It is not as good as when we first started going but is still one of our favorites. It is part of our Disney vacation. We seem to see a lot of the same wait staff and we just love the whole atmosphere. Can't say we ever go away hungry.

We ate there twice the first of June and loved it both times. If you like steamed mussels and/or clams you will definitely get your money's worth and more. The variety was good - they had salmon one night and fried fish similar to the fish at Epcot in England. The boiled shrimp was very good from the salad bar (I ate quite a bit of it) and they do have a good selection for the kids. The pasta dishes both nights were our least favorites and everyone seemed to really like the 'tastings' of desserts they offered. Although it was kind of embarassing to see my husband bring back 10 of the key lime tarts (the size of a quarter) and justify it by saying that many was the equivalent of a slice of pie (he was actually pretty right). The side dishes were pretty good - the mashed potatoes with the peels were very good one nite and so-so the next but that didn't stop us from eating them. Both nites the attendent at the carving station really tried to get you the 'doneness' you wanted--he had no problem from slicing a large piece off to find a slice that was more rare or done to your liking. We felt like it really was a good value and the kids ate more 'real food' there than any where we ate during the week.

We've done both breakfast and dinner at Cape May and everyone felt it was good food. Not excellent, but good.

My problem with Cape May was the waiter we had in December '07. :( He asked my DD5 what she wanted to drink and when she took a moment to answer, he said, " You're not picking a college. What would you like to drink?" I was shocked that he would speak to a 5 year old that way. Not only that, but he only came back one time to take our empty plates and refill our drinks. I didn't say anything to anyone at the time, but a couple of weeks after we got home, I got a postcard from the manager of the BCV asking me to do a survey and when I took the survey online, I mentioned the incident and the waiter by name.

WE use to really enjoy CapeMay/dinner, but our last couple of trips (May 08 and Oct 07) the experience was not great. While not terrible, we find the food selection to continue to go downhill (at least for us). I use to love the hot steamed shrimp, but that is now the cold peal and eat at the salad bar. I had a difficult time just finding something to eat on our most recent trip. Our server was just OK, but since we were a group of 4 adults and 2 infants, she knew her tip was covered. We will most likely eat there again in August, because we have a group of 9 and are staying at the BCV. If we are not happy with the menu in August, it most likely will be our last visit there.

Have done the dinner buffet (on New Years Eve) and breakfast (birthday, last August). Food-wise, breakfast was the better bet, dinner was very disappointing, not much selection - no carving station and for our late sitting, desserts were already almost gone (all that was left were a few pieces of stale cake). Character-wise, breakfast was the only meal with characters - and they had a great time with my birthday. Server-wise, both were good.

Not going this time but that's more because we are trying Narcoosee's and have 1 less meal.

We have reservations to Cape May for breakfast one day. I've read good reviews about it on here. :surfweb:

Just ate at CMC 3 hrs ago for dinner. It used to be our favorite, but it seems to have gone downhill. It's not as good or maybe we just found better...Kona Cafe. I still like it for breakfast though. We'll be eating there right before we leave for the airport on Tues.
