We like to try a new place to eat each time we go down. Our pick this upcoming trip in Oct. is Cape Mays. Any comments on it. We like seafood and just want to see how others like/dislike Cape Mays..smjj

We love it! If you click on my Oct link you will find a ton of food pictures of the buffet and a full review...we plan on going back in Oct for breakfast and dinner~

Thanks, pictures look really good. We are also down in Oct. This time at BLT. Maybe we will see you at Cape Mays...smjj

Cape May Seafood is bad. Seafood and buffet are 2 words that should never be used in the same sentence. If you want good seafood go to Flying Fish or Blue Zoo.

However, the Cape May breakfast is very good and one of the quieter character breakfasts.

We are going for b'fast for the 1st time in Oct.. Staying at BC. Glad to hear the b'fast is good

we are going for the first time this Fri. Crossing our fingers!!!

My DF and I are eating dinner at Cape May in October also! We're going to be on our honeymoon so I'm excited to try something new.

I must say that I'm not worried about the seafood here. Some of the best mussels I have ever had were at a Chinese buffet. I'm anxious for the new eating experience! :)

They have great mussels and cornbread (and this is coming from a New Englander!)! It's been a family favorite of ours for years. They cover the table in butcher paper and give the kids crayons. Enjoy!

This is a must do for us.We love the food here.I am allergic to seafood and yet I find plenty of tasty food here.

Does anyone know which day(s) Cape May serves the fried tilapia?

I ate there for dinner with my brother and son at the end of May. We all loved it. The night we were there they had a really good salmon on the buffet as well as crab legs. I especially enjoyed it because my husband is allergic to seafood and I don't get to go here with him. ::MinnieMo

I'm hoping to add this to our dinner plans next visit. The food looks so good and the peel and eat shrimp are for me. DH will eat the clams:scared1: I also thought I saw in pictures that they serve also crab legs? Is this not true anymore? Those fried tilapias look good, are they not there all the time? I also would like to know which nights they are served.:yay:

The Crab legs were for a limited time only as a trial. They may or may not become a permanent addition to the buffet. Years back crab legs were part of the buffet. They disappeared for awhile, then they came back as a trial.

We ate there many years ago. I thought it was the perfect place for our oldest to give seafood a try, so many options. It was our first day at Disney, and our youngest was beat. At the time he was "Mr. Picky Eater." We just gave him a small dessert plate. He looked at all the options and exclaimed, "My plate is too small!"

I loved it! I loved the seafood and I loved all the sides.

On the flip side my husband "Mr. Gourmet," thought it was horrible. He says seafood should never, ever be on a buffet, but served fresh. To this day he talks about it being the worst dinner ever at Disney. (We are going to Disney, just the two of us, this fall. We'll be dining at Flying Fish instead.)

So that gives you an example of one family, dining at the exact same time, and having two completely different experiences.

Thanks for the response. I didn't think I was seeing things in the pictures
