Visiting Disney next week and we have a reservation for Cape May, I know before they closed they would have shrimp on certain days and it was a buffet. Are they still doing the buffet and If so what days do they have shrimp?

It's now family style, but they do include peel-and-eat shrimp in the seafood boil.

If you are used to the Cape May buffet and AYCTE, you may want to reconsider. We ate at Cape May about 2 weeks ago and they gave us so little food. We could ask for more, but it was virtually impossible to find our server and, when they finally brought us extras, they literally brought us four small slices of beef. The food was not very good and we left hungry. We won't be back.

Thank you! I’ve done some research and we have decided to cancel…. So sad we love Cape May

This post is the perfect reminder of why I walk outside to get from my room to the pool. Is it me, or does it always smell like something’s washed up on shore when you walk past Cape May? 🤷🏻‍♂️ 😂

Those who stay at Beach Club a lot will get this reference. 😝

Not surprising. The rest of my family would sit there all night until they got what they wanted pirate:

Yeah. We gave up. Even my DS13 who is not a foodie in any way, shape or form, complained about it. I think it was an even bigger shock when we went to P&J's takeout at Ft. W a few days later, got a family meal for about $25 and had so much food, which was far-and-away better than Cape May, that we couldn't eat it all. It really sunk in then what a waste Cape May was. It wasn't surprising that I saw availability at Cape May all week when I would scroll for day-of ADRs. I hope they re-think the dining format there. We've decided, if we want seafood in the EP resort area, we'll stick to bluezoo for now.

When we have gone to GG (also AYCTE) we tell them when they drop the first plate: bring another one now. 4 big men in my party and they can eat. Based on reviews I have been reading I think we will skip CMC for now. Don't want to waste time tracking servers down to ask for more food.

Thanks for this info. Just cancelled our upcoming reservation too. The recent reviews here and elsewhere don’t show the kind of experience we’re looking for on vacation.

It's really too bad this is what has become of Cape May. We are a DL family, who now calls WDW home. We never got the opportunity to eat at Cape May before it changed. It's really sad to me because I really wanted to! They aren't even filling all their reservations and people are leaving unhappy. Why doesn't Disney see this?

Disney execs will address this situation immediately. The new price for the P&Js takeout will be raised to $80. :earboy2:

I was thinking the same thing when we were there, but, I guess they have new people staying there every week who may not know any better. Plus, it was difficult to get reservations in other places, so I suppose people staying at YC/BC who can't find availability anywhere else may just end up eating there. We were happier eating QS from YC/BC than eating at Cape May.

I take it back! It was terrible - a HUGE waste of money, LOL!

I have a reservation at Cape May for our trip in two weeks (our first time returning to Disney since the start of the pandemic). I had been holding out hope that Cape May would reopen in time, and I snagged a reservation as soon as it did. But wow, seeing the new menu and reading reviews on here really has me second-guessing. I would greatly appreciate hearing from anyone who has been there since it reopened. Thumbs up or thumbs down? Should I cancel?

Cape May availability for July. This used to never happen.

Also rethinking our reservation here...but most importantly, how did you check availability for the entire month? I'm trying to check different days for the last few weeks in Aug for Sebastian's Bistro and would love to do this as no availability is showing on the app.

Looks like I can't link to the site. Just search for "mouse dinning"

Thanks so much! Looks like I'll have to keep checking, but this makes it soooo much easier!
