Spring Direct Incentives 2/9-4/27

I'm trying to follow the comments so far and might have missed something. Do you want to own SSR for SSR stays? If so, go for it. If it's worth it to you personally because I don't think it'll make sense for most people here. If you are buying SAP+ points, I still think Poly is the better option. Of course, you and I are different people with different travel plans.
No doubt PVB (and CCV) are better SAP+ points than SSR... and I can buy resale contracts of those resorts down the run.
I am trying to find a way to minimize the cost of the buy in for perks (Sorcerer Pass, MMB, and MM events).

I was saying if you take perks out of the equation you are paying that much per point to flip them since your flip yields 30 more points.

Sorcerers pass could be worth it if you know you want one and would buy a pass anyway. It would take a little over 2 years of buying the sorcerers pass for a family of 3 to make the up the cost difference if you factor the extra 30 points at $180pp. I wouldnt factor them at 180. I would factor them in this way, if you took what resale value is at a conservative $100 pp it would take just under 4 years of buying the sorcerers pass to make up for it.

Hopefully this makes sense.
I wouldn't do a flip but for the perks. :)

MMB isnt worth it. Sorcerers Pass can be worth it but takes time to pay off, 4 years is a long time. Soon you will know for sure if MM is worth it.

In my situation (SSR flip), that would be more or less an additional $8760 USD
In that case the flip cost would be about $17K.
By my math, the cost of 150 SSR points is $180x150=$27,000.00

The cost of 150 RIV points is $224x150=$33,600.00. But, then you can take off an additional $2,500 with the anniversary, Visa, and D23 credits. That gets you down to $31,100.

So, if you were selling your resale SSR to help pay for this, it is only $4,100 more to sell resale SSR and buy RIV than it is to sell resale SSR and buy direct SSR.

It sounds like you are looking for the lowest cost entry to direct perks. If I put myself in those shoes, I would do it if I would be happy/comfortable with SSR. You already own there so it seems like you know that you are comfortable with that.

MMB would be of value to us in 2027 and 2028 as we are bringing the grandparents... (so we could save on tickets, on Memory Maker, and on OTU points).
It also annoys me that I can't go watch the fireworks on the top of a resort where I own and like (BLT).
And as for MM events, of course we'll see very soon !!!! :thanks:

Exactly. The lowest cost entry to direct perks. I am happy with SSR.
RIV direct would be a no-brainer for me if it didn't have resale restrictions.

Thank you.
Your calculation helps.
Unfortunately I am not Eligible to the Visa offers --> 🇨🇦 :confused3

Since 2027 and 2028 MMB info isnt released it's not a for sure thing that OTUP bogo points or ticket deals will be a part of MMB. Thats the thing about buying for perks, they can change or be removed and throw a wrench in the whole game plan.

Now that it's settled you should ask about the new BLT incentives when you call about your new SSR purchase and give us all the deets ;)
I might!

Darth Chapek is gone. In Josh I trust!
Agreed. I would not do this because of any specific "valuable thing." I would do it only for the warm fuzzy feeling of knowing I Belong.

(Full disclosure: that's why I bought mine.)
I belong too, although I eat at the kids table!
