We definitely want to do one Character Breakfast. The two choices we are down to are Chef Mickey and Cape May. We want it on the morning that we are not going to the park.

Which one would you choose and why. We are on the dining plan so cost is not an issue.

Is the food exactly the same at both Character Breakfasts.

Thanks again!
Mindy

Well the answer may depend on some different things. First, if seeing Mickey is important, he is NOT at Cape May. If you are staying at the EPCOT resort area (BC/YC, BWI, Swan/Dolphin) Cape May is easier to get to. If you are staying in the MK area (Poly, GF, CR, WL, Ft.W) Chef Mickey's is easier to get to. If you are relying on Disney transportation from all other resorts, Chef Mickey's is easier to get to and Cape May can be a long commute to get to. Cape May feels a bit more relaxed and quieter than Chef Mickey's. The food, for the most part is the same, it's breakfast, there are eggs, potatos, bacon, sausage, waffles, etc. at both. Each have a unique item or 2, but they aren't really that special. I personally don't see much difference from one breakfast buffet to another. Sometimes it just comes down to which characters you want to see or which one will be easier to get to.

I realize that I may not be too much help. My girlfriend and I have both planned for our upcoming trip.

PP is correct - no Mickey at Cape May

I usually pick depending on which of the parks I am going to Epcot, then I would choose Cape May - if I were going to Magic Kingdom, I would choose Chef Mickey's.

As mentioned, the food on each is very similar. Both are fun places for breakfast!

I would definitely make my choice based on which was more convenient, as getting to one or the other could be quite a trek, depending on where you are staying.

We definitely prefer Cape May over Chef Mickey's. Yes, there is no Mickey, but Minnie, Donald and Goofy are great in their swim attire and it is not as hectic and we find the food to be much better at Cape May.

I have to definitely say Cape May. As others have mentioned, no Mickey. The food is similar at both places, but to us, the food @ Cape May seems better. I can't say why... I think that the more relaxed atmosphere has a lot to do with it all. We did Chef Mickey's 3 years ago, and while it was okay, we don't have the desire to do it again. It seemed very loud and hectic to us (although many don't agree). We never miss a Cape May breakfast ressie on our trip.

Absolutely Cape May. If you want a nice start to a relaxing day, this will be it. To me, the atmosphere at Chef Mickey's was so stressful. I could have stayed at Cape May for hours.

Cape May. Eat a nice relaxing breakfast and then walk to Epcot through International Gateway.
