we will be at wdw next week (yay!!) and are thinking about Cape May for wednesday night (they apparently serve fried shrimp on mon, wed sat)-
anyone eaten there lately? would appreciate reviews-
thanks!

We ate there last June and really loved it! It was one the only places the whole family wanted to eat at again. The other was breakfast at O'hanas. DH, FIL, and I love seafood and loved the crab legs and oysters. Our DDs and MIL were pleased with the other options. Dessert is great too! Enjoy!

Ate there last Monday night and we enjoyed it again. We eat here once or twice every year and it is good if not better than ever. Desserts are little weak here, but that was never the forte here. Although I like Bomas a little more, this is the 1st choice of my kids and is becoming so with the grandkids.

We were there for the 1st time in August & we LOVED! My boys already told me they want to go back this year :) :thumbsup2

Cape May is one of my family's favorites. My family likes seafood alot. We all fill up on clams and crab legs. They also have some other choices that are very good too. The salad bar usually has cold shrimp with cocktail sauce.

Don't worry about the food being fresh - every time I have eaten there the place was packed out, so nothing sat around for long!

Food was great - no complaints about anything... well, maybe I wish the steamed clams were larger, but other than that - great place to have a meal!

We were there in October & everything was hot & fresh. I loved everything I tried, and have no complaints! I would definitely eat here again.

Cape May is one of our favorite WDW restaurants. (My DH would say it's his favorite!) There is plenty to choose from, and everything has always been very fresh. My favorites are the crab legs, fried shrimp, fried fish, and the lobster pasta. My DH loves the crab legs, clams, ribs, and Caesar salad.

Now that you mention it, I think I need to make an ADR at Cape May for our April trip. :thumbsup2

We went for the first time in earlier this month and loved it - even the non-seafood eaters in my family enjoyed it! I am booked again for our trip in March.

was skeptical going in, but was really surprised, everything we had was good, (generally I find all buffets hit-and-miss)

save room for dessert!

We ate there in Nov on a Fri night and they didnt have fried shrimp, they had fried cod bites.

We are going back this month on a Fri night again and I hope they have fried shrimp!

Been here so many times and the food is amazing, hot and fresh and plenty of it

We ate there last May, and I have to say it was really good, and this is comming from a person who doesn't eat any seafood, and normally hates buffets. We ate at Cape May, and Crystal Palace for dinner, and Chef Mickeys and Boma for breakfast. I thought out of all the buffets, Cape May was the best. I liked that the restuarant was not over crowded, and I found it very relaxing. It was so nice having a quite meal! I also was thankful that the chef came out, and showed me what I could, and could not eat. (I am allergic to shell fish) Dh was happy we ate at a seafood place. I trust disney to tell me what does, and doesn't have any cross contamination with shellfish! Last time we ate at a seafood place I had chicken, and ended up in the hospital! We all enjoyed Cape May, and it was the only place dh requested to go back to.

Looks like Sat/ mon/Wed are the only days for the fried shrimp! I planned our April meal here on a "fried shrimp" day this time! Last 2 times were the Calamari day and while my DH and older DS love this stuff I do not!

On the all ears menu it says drinks are extra? Is this true for the dining plan too? Not a deal breaker - it sounds great, but decisions, decisons - you know?

I just checked my receipt from January 2011 and drinks were included.
Child dinner was 15.99
Adult dinner was 32.99

We were there in Sept 2010 and we loved it!!! This Sept we are trying the QSD so I told my kids they could each pick a Ts (OOP). My daughter didn;t even hesitate....she said Cape may the only hesitation was deciding breakfast or dinner there...she loves them both. She does not even eat seafood...I couldn't have been happier with her decision because I love the crab legs....so ready to go back...this time I will try to get in on a shrimp night also!!

We eat at Cape May at least once every trip :goodvibes. We just got back from a trip in December and our dinner at Cape May was awesome......everything was delicious and fresh :thumbsup2.
