Hi everyone. DH and I will be staying at BWV in May and I made ADR's for the Cape May Character Breakfast, but now I'm having second thoughts. I have been looking at different reviews here and some don't seem to favorable. It's just DH & I we have no kids but I'm a big kid. We have done CP, Chef Mickey, 1900, and CRT. I thought this might be cool since it's one we haven't done. Any thoughts on why or why not? TIA.

We did it. In all honesty only because chef mickeys was booked at the times we wanted but I am very glad we did it. We will absolutely be doing it on our next trip. The resort is cool to look around. The characters in beach outfits were great. The food was amazing, especially the Mickey waffles.

I highly recommend it.

We love Cape May. And have always liked it better than Chef Mickeys. Don't worry about the reviews, you will not find any place at Disney that people love or hate. Book what you think you will enjoy!

I've enjoyed all the Character Breakfasts with CP & Chef Micky being my favs. I was excited about Cape May bc of Goofy and Minnie (my favs). I guess I was just worried about spending that much and being disappointed. I'm glad both of you had good experiences. And I sure love me some Micky waffles. :lovestruc

We love Cape May and go every trip. It is one of the more quieter character meals that you will find on property. The food is always hot and fresh and the character interaction is one of the best. If you are staying at one of the Epcot resorts, then I say definitely go and try this one....you will not be disappointed :goodvibes.

Cape May is a must do for us every trip , we have not been back to CM since we tried it , the character interaction is better , the food is better ( you must try the baked french toast , mmmmm) and i love the BC !

Cape May is a favorite of ours and is a must do for us every trip. I would definitely give it a try.

For folks traveling without children, this may be the best character meal.

Goofy is your host at Cape May Breakfast and he is about to play some beach volleyball. No princesses, no parade like they do at Chef Mickey. I have found that waiting to be seated is typically less of a hassle here.

The food assortment is over the top. In addition to all the typical American fare like eggs & bacon, french toast & pancakes, along with grits & potatoes, sliced smoked salmon & deli meats are available too.

And if you are staying at the same hotel, this is what we'd refer to as a 'no brainer' in my family. What's a better location than inside your hotel?

By the way, if staying on Boardwalk, breakfast at Kouzzina is excellent too; albeit, without the characters.

We all agreed that it was our 2nd favorite meal of our trip and favorite character meal! We will most definitely be making it our new "must do" for our trip (hopefully) in 2015.

This was our first time trying CM and we were actually the first ones to arrive for a 7:30 ADR - we had the characters all to ourselves! They came around about 3 times and were absolutely incredible. Such great interaction! While the buffet is pretty standard, it does offer a few more unique dishes than most other buffets. The food though, was very fresh considering it was buffet fare. We loved it!

I really like Cape May for a number of reasons.

1. Their food is good with a wide selection to choose from.
2. They have good characters and actively come to your table with no hassle.
3. Nice resort to visit if you haven't before.

Having said that...no character meal is "worth it" as far as money is concerned. Just remember you are paying extra for those characters so don't expect signature food quality and characters.

We've done this breakfast twice, and I think it's a good value and fairly good character interaction. It's a super-bright and cheerful restaurant, and the food was really good buffet food. The characters spent a lot of time with my kids both times.

That's what I liked about it! It definitely wasn't busy at all although that may be because we had a 7:30 ADR :confused3 But only 4-5 other families came in while we were there. It was also very quiet compared to other character meals!

It is our 2nd least favorite character breakfast, probably, though it isnt ghastly. We find the buffet very limited (compared to Captains Grille nearby at the YC which isnt a character meal, of course) and I dislike the way the restaurant and buffet line is designed. That said, while I wouldn't recommend anyone going out of their way for it, I do tell people staying at YC&BC or BW that it is worth a try if you are in the market for a character meal!

This is one of our most favorite meals! We love the atmosphere, characters, and the food. (Bread pudding is the best!)

We love to do this on check out morning as a great send off.

I wouldn't hesitate. I highly recommend it. If you loved the other places you listed, you will not be disappointed. ( I'm a big kid and loved all of those meals and characters too!)

I really enjoyed my breakfast at Cape May. In fact, I would probably do Cape May over Chef Mickey's breakfast in the future. I liked how it was much less hectic than Chef Mickey's and that the whole buffet area seemed cleaner. Especially since you will be traveling with no children, I would definitely recommend Cape May!

Cape May is are absolute favorite breakfast buffet and is a must do for us every trip.

I say Do It me and the Arthur Gang make a point every trip.
1. It's not packed
2. The beach outfits are a blast
3. Location, Location, Location close to both Epcot or Studio's.

Cape May, in general, is one of our favorite meals for a character breakfast. We've done it 5 times. Four times were terrific, but once our server was terrible. I admit that if that had been our first time, no doubt it would have been our last. But knowing that everyone can have a bad day, we wouldn't hesitate to go again. Hey, when we take our DGDs to WDW next year, we're planning to include a trip to Cape May CB. What better praise is that?

The answer to your question; In my opinion, no. We've eaten at a large number of the Character Breatfast at WDW and we would rate Cape May in the middle of the pack. Probable 4th out of 6 we've tried. Nothing special. Food - average, Atmosphere - a little below average. Here's how we rate them.

1) Crystal Palace - 9 times
2) Chef Mickey's - 2 times
3) Ohana's - 3 times
4) Cape May Once
5) 1900 Park Fare Once
6) CRT - 4 times
