Cape May Cafe or Ohana for Breakfast?

We're a family of four with a 3 & 4 year old staying at Boardwalk. On our non-park day, we are considering a character breakfast as it will allow us more time to interact with the characters without the stress of getting to a park. Because we're staying close to Beach Club, we thought we'd do Cape May. We are also are considering Ohana, but it's a bus and monorail ride away vs walking. Is it worth it to make the trek to Ohana over Cape May? Thanks

I have only been to Ohana for breakfast and Cape May for dinner so I can't compare the food to each other.
I would make two points though, the food at Ohana is all brought to your table. You don't need to get up for anything.
Not sure about you but for kids that young I would prefer being able to stay seated throughout the meal.
While both are all you can eat I would imagine that Cape May has a much larger variety of choices.

I agree with. PP. Food brought to your table would be easier with little ones. But Cape May is a much easier commute for you with little ones. It also depends on what characters you want to see. Do your little ones even know LILO & Stitch vs Minnie , Donald & Goofy?
I would definitely choose Cape May.
Have Fun

We love them both for breakfast, but since you are staying at the Boardwalk, I'd pick Cape May. Not having to travel via bus and monorail would be the deciding factor for me.

Cape May had the worst character interaction of any character meal we've ever done. They were all very rushed - to the point many of my pics are blurry (and I'm a good photographer). Minnie even faked her signature - she found a previously acquired Minnie sig and pretended she was writing. Since you're doing it specifically for the characters, that would sway me to Ohana. The food is good and the characters were great. Plus, you get the two characters you can't see anywhere (Lili and Stitch)

We love Ohana. But, since you are staying right there, I would go for Cape May. All of that travel to get to Ohana would decide it for me. Your morning would be a lot more leisurely. Either way, you can't go wrong. Both are fun.

I don't think we have ever dined at Cape May for breakfast. However we have dined at Ohana's for breakfast. the food was very good and so was the service. I prefer to stay seated and have the food brought out to us verses getting up for a buffet. Since it is a no park day, you'll have plenty of time to get to the Poly and enjoy your breakfast.

I thought the food at Ohana's breakfast was horrible. I hate those mass-cooked eggs.

I haven't been, but I hear Cape May Cafe has a build your own crepe station, and I think that can't possibly be bad.

We plan Ohana every trip and only go to Cape May when staying in the area. However, I have two boys who are both big Stitch fans. If your kids don't really know who Lilo and Stitch are, I don't think getting there would be worth the effort. Based on the overall experience I think it is a toss up. We like being served family style rather than a buffet, but there are many more choices at Cape May. We have also had great character interaction at both.

Lilo is meeting at DHS right now. Obviously could end at any time but she is in fact meeting guests there.

We've done both (summer 2014). The character interaction was ok for both. Lilo and mickey and Pluto were great interactions at Ohana with Stitch being meh... Goofy and Donald were awesome at CM with Minnie being meh. I don't eat eggs or breakfast meat so food choices for me were limited at Ohana. I was able to find more food at CM. My DH and DS loved both places.

I would look at the menu choices and see which one looks best to you. If it were me, I'd pick CM due to proximity and more choices of food.

IMHO, unless you really want to see the characters at O'hana, I would do Cape May. The food at O'hana is definitely not worth that commute. Cape May will offer you a leisurely stroll to breakfast, fun characters and more and better food options.

Haven't been to ohanas but have been to cape may for breakfast and really enjoyed it (partly as on non parks days and staying at beach club so no stress). Food was good and the characters were great!

We love Cape May and would definitely do it if staying at the Boardwalk. It has most of the classic characters and the food was very good (and we're not buffet fans). My kids didn't like the breakfast at Ohana and while I thought it was okay, I wouldn't go out of our way to get there.

We are staying at the BC next month and are doing CMC for breakfast solely for the convenience. Heard good things about both. We did Boma last year and wasn't happy with it but loved the Crystal Palace. So ,I think these places are really hit or miss depending on what you are looking for.
