I'm contemplating trying to pick up an ADR for dinner at Cape May. There are 4 of us, me, DH, DS and DD (both teens). We are not on the DDP. DH LOVES seafood, especially crab...the rest of us do not (though I love a good New England clam chowder!). Is there enough on this buffet to keep the rest of us happy? We like the foods listed on the sample menu on Allears, is this typical of what's offered? I'd appreciate all opinions and suggestions, thanks! :)

Yep! I don't eat seafood and enjoyed my meals there. They have ribs, a carving station, there was pizza, chicken fingers and a host of side dishes.

My DH doesn't eat seafood at all and Cape May is his favorite restaurant. We have to go for dinner each trip.

Thanks for asking this OP! I'm not a seafood fan at all and didn't want to waste the $ if the non-seafood food was just so-so.

We've been going there every trip lately. I eat some seafood but always find tons of things to eat at Cape May.

The soups, veggies, meat and desserts are just great. Give it a try!:goodvibes

My family of four.. none of eats any seafood at all (well, tuna fish, that's about it!)
But we LOVE Cape May for dinner and have always found tons we enjoy from the nonseafood side.

the carving station was good, pasta (I think it's not always the same type each day?), ribs were great, corn on the cob, salad, good dinner rolls.... hmm, what else was there? Chicken nuggets were good, mac & cheese okay (different than most of WDW restaurants' mac & cheese). Can't remember what else, but for me the above I mentioned is more than enough for me to fill up tons on!

OT I know, but Stich34 did you snap those firework/castle pictures? Beautiful shots!!:thumbsup2

Thanks for your thoughts, everyone! I'm still on the fence about whether or not to do another ADR at all, so at this point it's still...maybe. :)

I dont eat any seafood and loved cape may! The rolls, corn bread, mac and cheese, ribs, chicken, salads, desserts were all wonderful! The only thing with seafood i had to deal with was all the crab leg shells and smell at our table because hubby ate so many crab legs:laughing:

I don't like any seafood and really enjoyed Cape May. There was plenty I wanted to eat.

It was a great choice for my family because my Dad can't eat shellfish due to an allergy, I don't eat fish and my mom loves all fish so she can never order shellfish appetizers with the two of us. She liked being able to eat shrimp, etc at the buffet.

I don't eat fish and the only seafood I eat is shrimp. I felt there was plenty of food to eat. DH was disappointed. He felt there was very little seafood compared to what he expected.

I was there tonight and have to admit, as a non-seafood (other than shrimp) seagood eater, this was the best meal so far (here 7 days already). The worst part was my request for a sleeper chair was denied as they do not have any. My DW ate for another 45 minutes after the kids and I finished. She was still eating the crab legs and clams.

Cape May has quickly become one of my favorites. There area a bunch of options for non-seafood eaters, too. Desserts are also great! :)
