Is Mickey ever at this breakfast? What characters are "usually" there?

I don't believe Mickey has ever been there. I think it's usually a mix of Minnie, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale.

We think this is one of the best Breakfast buffets, lots of selections. We are trying 1900 Park Fare in Feburary for a change. All new restaurants, resort etc, well except for Sci Fi, love the burgers there.

Thanks guys! We were hoping for Mickey but we'll love Minnie and/or Goofy! This is the meal that will be kicking off our vacation! :wizard:

We're trying this one for the first time this trip. M y friend has done it twice and swears it's the best one because of the characters and she says it' quiet and the characters are the best. She said because it's in Beach club, it's not one of the more popular ones so you can enjoy it. Because it's a buffet, she says the food is good too. She doesn't like the sit downs. Enjoy! If you go before May, post your reviews! :sunny:

I haven't tried this breakfast yet, but we will HOPEFULLY be staying at BCV in December, and we might give it a go!

Tinkerbellmom33, I live in Long Island, too!!! (Nassau County...what about you?)

Cape May is a great breakfast! Characters are usually very friendly and the food is good. Another LIer here!

Love, love, love Cape May Cafe for breakfast and dinner! It's a nice, relaxed atmoshpere and you are not rushed nor do you feel rushed. Minnie, Goofy, Chip and Dale and Pluto as well are there for breakfast.

I have a Cape May Breakfast ADR for May, is Minnie still usually there? On AllEarsnet.com it says she only appears occasionally, but most of the posts I've read here say they usually see Minnie at Cape May -- I'm a big fan, so I'm hoping she'll be there! :goodvibes

In luv with Disney- suffolk county :wave2:

Hey there LAWalz23! :wave2:

I've been noticing more of us on the boards lately :)

Cape May was really our favorite of character meals we have tried so far. We went with a party of nine, which included kids from 6 to 18, and everyone had a great time. The characters were wonderful, Goofy even sat down with all the kids and pretended to eat and drink their meals with them. All the characters made it around to our tables twice and this was June and our seating time was 9:00 am. The food was definitely enjoyed by all!

Oh this is getting me SOO excited!!! :mickeyjum Even though there will only be one child in our party (DD5), DH and I will be taking his brother and his mom who haven't been to Disney since the early 80's, where they only spent 1 day at MK. They've never seen the characters before. We have a 7:30 ADR (first seating...hoping for some extra character time) and will be on our first morning at Disney!! :bounce: This will be so fun!!

They'll love it! We took our inlaws there for breakfast and dinner and they loved both and so we took them back again for bopth breakfast and dinner in the same trip!

Cape May is a great breakfast! Also had dinner there and realy enjoyed it.

We usually eat here every other trip. In our last three trips, we only had Chip OR Dale, not Chip & Dale. And no Pluto, either. Always Goofy and Minnie, though.

This is my favorite character breakfast, although I haven't tried all of them because I can't stop going to this one. I used to work with the entertainment at that restaurant and in Epcot, so I was the person you would see "following" them around and taking the pictures for people in the restaurant. I've been in the parks and many resort restaurants in this capacity, and this was the most casual atmosphere and the characters are able to spend more time with each table. Plus, they wear beach attire, so it's themed so well with this being Florida.

The other place I would recommend for alot of time with the characters is Gulliver's Grill at the Swan resort for dinner....it's mostly convention attendees at the restaurant who are not as interested in the character interaction, so you really are "sick" of them by the time your meal is done. I'm not too sure about the food now, because it used to be a la carte and now they offer different buffets now. The characters rotate between Goofy and Pluto some nights and Timon and Rafiki other nights.

Both locations are still what I consider "unknowns" as far as character dining is concerned.
