Cape May @ BC -> 10:40 am ADR still fresh ?

We would like to do an EMH 8 am opening at DHS, do some rides, then eat breakfast at Cape May in the Beach Club.
I know Cape May closes at 11am for breakfast.

If we do a 10:40 am ADR for Cape May and we leave DHS by 10:00 am to get on a boat to the BC for our Cape may breakfast....do you think we can get there in time ?
Will the food still be fresh at 10:40 am ?
Are the characters still there at 10:40 am ?

I assume if we have a 10:40 am ADR - we may not be seated till 10:50 am ->
then if Cape May closes at 11am ...What happens ?
We will only have 10 minutes to eat ?


Please help - our 180 day ADR mark is Dec 26th - next Monday!

I would be at the boat dock by 10 am at the very latest. I doubt there will be a big line for boats at that time, but if you have to wait for a boat, then stop at Swan and Dolphin, then stop at BC/YC and walk to the BC lobby for Cape May, it could be upwards of 30 minutes or more. The boats are pretty slow! It's all in the timing. It's a bit of a hike, but you can walk from DHS to BC as well. The path is to the right of the lake as you head out of DHS.

Yes, the food will be fresh. Love Cape May - they replenish the food constantly. There will be characters and they will not kick you out. Cape May does not serve lunch, so they have a long time to turn that restaurant over for dinner.
