We leave in a couple of days & my hubby really wants to try & eat at the Cape May Cafe "All you can eat" seafood buffet. He has eaten there before & loved it!

The problem is I'm not a seafood fan at all. So, here's my question: Has anyone enjoyed a meal here that doesn't like seafood? I see on the menu various other items like: chicken, ribs, flank steak, many non-seafood sides & salads, and of course dessert. Can anyone give me some advice?

Thanks in advance! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

This is a large, 4-sided buffet. Seafood is only 1/4 of the whole thing. The other sides feature salads and other vegetarian delights, desserts and the "land lover's" side. :)

This side has ribs, chicken, flank steak, corn, baked beans, mashed potatos, etc. There's also a kids corner with chicken fingers, hot dogs and mac & cheese.

You will find LOTS of things to eat while your DH enjoys the clams, mussels, fish and clam chowder!!

One word of warning...leave room for dessert!!! The dessert side of this buffet is AMAZING!! :teeth:

This is our favorite buffet! You will find plenty of good offerings beside seafood!

One of my favorites!! And I didn't even touch any seafood. :)

Enjoy!

I think I will surprise hubby by suggesting we go & eat there one evening while at Epcot! He will be very excited! He used to eat there every trip with his family when he was younger, so this should be a great treat for him!

Thanks again, I'm sure the food will be great (as long as its not all seafood! ;) )

We can't wait - only 2 more days!!! :bounce: :Pinkbounc

We haven't been there in a few years, but there was plenty of food for us at that time. DW & myself don't care for seafood, other than baked fish or a delicious Wisconsin Friday night fish fry! We really enjoyed the Cape May & found plenty of delicious items to stuff ourselves with!

Our family just ate there a couple weeks ago and we loved it! I didn't eat any seafood and left there completely stuffed! The only seafood I had was the crab pasta salad on the salad bar portion. The desserts were great too!

I don't like seafood so much that the smell of it makes me ill and I ate there for the rest of my family and was just fine. There was plenty of food for me to eat (and it didn't smell bad).

I also do not eat seafood but have enjoyed dinner there many times. I always have a little dessert first because by the time you get through the buffet, theres no room left!

I love seafood, but usually only the kind we get here at home (south Louisiana). I don't do mussels or clams. DH and I were a little hesitant to try Cape May, but from advice here, we went ahead and tried it. We were at the YC for three nights, and ate at Cape May twice - we loved it :D !

DH tried the clams and mussels and really enjoyed them. I did try the boiled shrimp, which were surprisingly good. I also had the salmon, which I enjoyed as well. The ribs were pretty good, and the flank steak was delicious. They also had some chicken that looked good, but neither of us tried it. There were plenty of salad choices, soups, rolls, fried fish nuggets, mac and cheese, corn, mashed potatoes (really good), green beans, etc. And, I have to mention the dessert bar...there was a huge selection, and everything I tried was great, especially those Oreo mousse things :p .

Hope you enjoy Cape May as much as we did!

Thanks for all the postings in this thread.
We're eating there tomorrow night(!), and my wife does NOT like seafood.
I like it but have little experience with mussels and clams.
Good to know nobody will be disappointed!

This is one of our favorite buffets, and a must do on every visit to WDW! I do not eat any seafood, and neither does one DD, but we have plenty of delicious choices to choose from! There is such a wide variety of foods served, that I'm sure you will find more than enough to satisfy your appetite. :):D:)
