Cape Kennedy sites

I have checked the Kennedy site and am glad to see that there are launch tickets for sale. However, when I looked at it more I found that if I buy them I am paying for the launch not the day. This means that with a window from Dec 7th to 26th we may not get to see it. My wife Donna, who is the space fan, is reluctant to spend money on something we may never see. Can anyone suggest or does anyone know where some good sites are to see the launch? Annoyingly, we have already bought tickets for Kennedy and the offers all include Kennedy access.

There are some links on the KSC site that suggest other places to see the launch. There is a pier quite near that has various facilities avaliable. We bought launch tickets today - paid $156 includes KSC access and lunch! We are there from the 2nd - 16th December so fingers crossed we see it!
