Just wondering if anyone has ordered canvas prints from their photopass pictures when they have ordered there disks and if you did were you happy with them?

I am guessing no one has so I will just order one and hope for the best:)

I haven't but the quality of the photopass photos should be fine for it but if it were me I'd buy the disk and then order the canvas from home. Are you going to order the canvas from the same place you get the disc?

I am going to order one from the Disney photopass site when i get my disk delivered they are more expensive than getting them done at home but when
i look at snapfish etc you loose part of your picture the Disney ones have a black border so you get your whole picture on the canvas i figure it is worth the extra money to not loose any of the castle. I also know i wont get around to doing it at home:rotfl:

I am curious to see how they come out, would be great if they turn out
I have my fingers crossed :goodvibes

Apparently the photopass photographers shoot everything on auto. This is a bit concerning since it's expensive. They're not 'professionals' in the true sense of knowledge. I'd at least want an image I can post process for printing on canvas! You certainly need to clean images up and prevent 'clipping' (total black and total white that loses detail). They can look awful on canvas.

My solution was to buy a new DSLR that I can take with me, shoot things myself or put it in modes I want before handing it to a photographer, post-process the image and then have a great canvas print after. It's a lot of work though and takes a lot of time to learn but I think it's worth it. Got me into photography actually. Anyway, unless you are going to post-process the image, you may be disappointed in the results for canvas. Perhaps it's worth printing a larger photo instead?

Old thread but I just thought I'd mention it if anyone was thinking about printing on canvas from Photopass and since SnowWhite09 raised it.

Any news on how this turned out? :goodvibes

We love our canvas the only thing that annoyed me was 1 of the kids had red eyes and I missed it when I edited the photo but you can't tell when it's on the wall. What I love the most is the edge does not take any of the photo it's black.

Glad to hear it turned out well - will keep this in mind for some of our photos.

I actually like that the image wraps around the canvas, that's why I get them. If I want the whole picture on the front I just print the larger photo and buy a nice frame for it to go in.
