Cantina Nachos ??s

Can anyone tell me if the cheese on the nachos is cheese sauce or the real deal? It will help me make my decision.

I don't think anything at the Cantina is the real deal!

We had the nachos there because we were eating/drinking our way around the world and needed something small/cheap to snack on and it was not real cheese but that cheese sauce, like from a can at Sams.

You can usually spot someone walking away from the counter with them before you decide whether or not to order them... I always scope out people's tables to see what things look like before I order them

I have to laugh at your question. I thought I was the only one who asked something like this.

But to answer you, the nachos we got (back in 2001) had the cheese sauce on them and that's why we havent gotten them again. To me, that is what makes or breaks nachos.

If you are looking for good nachos with real cheese, try ESPN. They are delicious, and just a quick walk from Epcot.

Even with the cheese sauce...one recommendation...I would order them "without" something because if you don't then you get one of the containers that has been sitting under the warmer. Nacho chips don't fare too well under the warmer...they get soggy. I always get mine without beans (and yes insist that you want it that way) and get a hot fresh, crispy treat! They are awesome!!!!

Lol, I had to laugh at your question too. You are planning exactly what you are going to eat already?

They do use the cheese sauce on the nachos, not real cheese. And I have to agree with the above poster, the nachos at ESPN are much better.

That explains why I like the Cantina nachos so much while other people don't seem to agree. I am a vegetarian so I always order mine without beef, and I get fresh, hot, crispy nachos. And yes, the cheese is the cheese sauce instead of shredded cheese, but I still love them.

it's that yummy orange plastic-like cheese food in a warmed can.... mmmmmmmmm... are we the only fans of that stuff? ds would smother all food with it if given the opportunity! LOL!
