Yes, hop on over to the cruise board - you'll learn so much over there. I've only cruised once and it was with Disney out of NYC. It was only for a two-night cruise but I felt so prepared from reading up on the DIS. We are anxiously awaiting our Fantasy cruise in November, and, since this one is different from the NYC one I've been frequenting the cruise board and asking many, many questions. Again, I am feeling so prepared for this cruise - now it just needs to hurry up and get here.

One thing I have learned is that Disney no longer does the land/sea packages. You can book both separately, if you wish, and many people do. I've also learned to book your cruise as soon as you know what cruise you want because prices just keep rising and the longer you wait the more you're going to pay. You'll need to put down 20% when you do book it, so keep that in mind. We use Dreams Unlimited (only for our cruises) and I find them very knowledgeable. They also sponsor the cruise board.

Again, I am soooooo happy for your family!

One other thing - get involved in your cruise's DIS meet and FE exchange. I think you'll have fun with that and your kids will love it.

WOW!!! That is SO exciting! A Disney Cruise is on my bucket list. I can't wait to hear all about the planning....I wouldn't even know where to begin! It sounds like you have already gotten some good advice and direction on where to go for more!

Best of luck on selling your motorcycle! In this economy, it is a tough thing to sell since it is more of a leisure vehicle... We had had ours for sale for over six months.

Glad you had a good 4th love the pics and the powdered sugar episode. My DS (26) and DD (22) still do things like that. I had really hoped that they would grow out of it but NO. Maybe someday...........

Oh, that powdered sugar fiasco was the highlight of our night! It was hilarious!

I have been a nervous wreck this week! I have been sick to my stomach, haven't been able to sleep, haven't been able to concentrate at work... Why? Because I was waiting to receive a cruise quote from a TA... And guess what!!!















WE BOOKED OUR CRUISE!!!!!!!!!!!!



After going back and forth about what we really wanted, we decided against trying to do a cruise AND parks... so we booked a 7 day cruise to the Western Caribbean on the Fantasy! We set sail on October 11, 2014! I cannot even begin to describe how excited I am...like I am crawling out of my skin!!!!!

Now, I need to add a ticker for THAT!

I won't start a PTR for the cruise until we get back from our FL vacation.

I think you made a good decision to skip WDW and just do the cruise. Originally we were going to do a 4-night cruise/3-night stay at WDW but after reading the boards I was worried 4-nights wouldn't be long enough. I feel so much better about our decision to go for the 7-night cruise, plus we get to go on the Fantasy which I hear is awesome.

We are so excited ahout the cruise. I now have DCL fixation. There are so many who prefer the cruise over the parks...we have decided if we like the cruise to do a cruise/ parks vacation rotation. Can anyone sing with me "you've got the beeeeest of both worlds!" Cannot completely give up my parks!

I am drowning in cruise planning mania right now. I am a woman OBSESSED I tell ya. I have got it BAD! I have GOT to refocus and get excited about our upcoming FL trip....but it is just so hard!

Absolutely! But, since the cruise itself is SOOOO expensive, I will probably be printing things on cardstock and attaching magnet strips to them as opposed to custom ordering stuff. Why do you ask...got some ideas and fun stuff to share???

There are some great Fish Extender FB pages that you can ask to join. I'm on two of them and have seen so many great ideas! Just do a search on FB to find all of the different groups.

My DSs and I have been working on our FE gifts this summer. I'm a teacher and I'd really like for them to be done before school starts back up at the end of August. I have so many ideas though that I keep on adding more gifts. Oh well, we are having fun.
