Now I am sooo confused.

Got a PIN mailed to my house a week ago (or so) for my sister who doesn't live here any more. It's in her name, no misspellings, its her all right.

I told her right away because she is planning to be at Disney during the time the PIN is valid. Got the postcard to her the next day. Fast forward to today.

She said she was told that because the address is not correct the PIN is not valid for her. She was told anyone with a valid drivers license proving they live at the PIN's address can use the PIN. :confused3

I thought that the PIN was matched to your name. Now, it seems like the PIN is attached to your address. ??????

Anyone have experience with this?? I suggested she call back and go through it again with another cast member. And I figure I'd ask my friends here, you all will tell me what's what. :thumbsup2

The Disney gods are never kind enough to send me a PIN, but from what I've heard it's the name that must be matched. I've read posts here where a PIN has been sent to someone's home, in someone else's name, and the home owner can't use the PIN because it's not in their name. I'd call back and talk to a different CM.

We get pins all the time for others who have traveled with us at one time or another. I have always been told I cannot use them even though it came to my address.

The last time I booked over the phone they made me give them everyone's address that was in the party, so hopefully that will help with pin issues, but online it only gives you a place for one address so I assume I"ll be getting more offers that aren't for me.

Yep, they can be pretty picky about PINs. The email offer that I got could be booked online but you had to enter the last name of the person it was sent to and the zip code. Once you did that, you had to verify the address that they had on file. Anything that didn't jive perfectly ended up closing the session.

I used to get PINs addressed to my son. He may have been 11 at the time. Certainly not old enough to book a hotel room! Back then, the entire name of the person to who the PIN was assigned had to be the first name on the reservation. So those PINs were of no use to us.

Can she just rebook her reservation using your address? That is what I'd do.
