Yes rediculous! Kohls use to offer 20,30% on everything then 2 years ago not on Nike now it is Converse and Vans will be next! So I went to outlet down the street better deal. I like how there excuse is "Nike won't let us sell for discounts due to they sell to use in discounts". Um.. no they buy large quantities $5-$10 sell $60' to $70 in store. Show me Kohls where it states in your purchase contract you can't discount, yet Nike store or others do!. I shop far less there now.
It is the truth. I have a family member who just retired from Kohls. Nike wants to control pricing just like Under Armour and Apple do. Look at other stores. JCP has the same exclusions. Younkers and Belk too. If stores want to continue to sell Nike they have to sell the merchandise for the price Nike wants to sell it at. Only discounted when they allow it via sales. No extra coupons.
Btw, Converse is already on the no extra percent coupon list. I just got some shoes a couple of weeks ago, and they are not eligible for the percent off either. These brands know that they are what people want, and they will sell without the discounts. They have the power. If a store wants to stock name brands, they have to follow their rules.
