I was so excited about the $99 government rate. When I called this morning the Swan is not available for our dates only the Dolphin. Since they can't guarantee a king size bed at the Dolphin I am hesitant to book. I really don't want a double bed for our week-end get away. Does anyone have experience with this. What are the chances we would get a king? I really want to try the S/D resort. Thanks,

Lori

I think your chances of getting a King room at the Dolphin when they are having the $99 special is pretty good. There won't be a big convention during that time (that's why they are offering the special), and most families want 2 beds. Check in as early in the day as possible and be willing to wait for a room until later in the day. Just pack accordingly and plan to go to the parks, pool or Boardwalk while they get your room ready. It will also help a little if you a Starwood Preferred Guest. That is free at spg.com.

FYI: The beds at the Dolphin are oversized doubles. They are 1 inch shorter than a queen bed. We have a queen at home and didn't notice any difference. The heavenly beds are awesome, too!

Thank you for the quick reply. I thought I had heard that the double beds were only a little smaller than the queens. I think I'll chance it. Thanks!

For the location and the price you can't beat it! We went with the deluxe balcony room for $154. We did have ressies for Boardwalk view at BWI for $334 a night with our AP. My hubby is a state employee and his HR manager knows we go to Disney a lot and called him with the info. I jumped on it. We are saving quite a bundle.

Does any one know the difference between the traditional and the deluxe balcony rooms? Also, the starwood.com site have specific king or double rooms you can makes ressies for. They are a bit more expensive, but you are guaranteed a king bed.
