Help! I returned from the Wonder Cruise on 9/18, but I am still feeling the motion! I don't feel sick or anything. I just feel like I'm still on the ship and feel like I'm spinning sometimes when I'm just sitting. How long will this last? Is there anything I can do? I took some Dramamine this morning which seemed to help just a little bit. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks!

I had that problem, but it only lasted one or two days. It was the worst when I was lying down to sleep. It does go away though, so don't worry about that!:(

The only sure cure is to get back on the ship!!! It's your head telling you that you should have booked the next cruise while still on board ;)

I was on a 7 night cruise and that feeling lasted for several days. Unfortunately it sounds like you are at home because I have a "cure" for the motion that you feel in your head. We spent some time at WDW after the cruise and I found that by riding Tower of Terror that the motion of the ship disappeared for a couple of hours. I should have gotten a doctors note "prescribing" ToT so I could have gotten to the front of the line whenever I need another "dose".:D

I had this problem for about 2-1/2 weeks after we returned from our Disney cruise in May 2002. We just sailed on the Voyager this past August and never had a problem. HTH

and I am also having that problem. That first night was a doozy....I notice it mostly when I'm standing, casing my mail in the morning, I feel like the whole post office is moving:rolleyes:

Glad I am not the only one...we just got off the Magic...I thought I was coming down with the flu or something.

Last year my family headed home by car, after a week cruise. We got to a "rest stop" on I-10. When hubby and I headed up to the rest rooms we were swaying! LOL I thought, I hope a cop doesn't see us, he'll think we're drunk. We were home two days before I felt normal again.

We are also just back from the 9/13 Magic. I am just starting to feel better today. My husband had to drive me to work since I don't even think that my reaction time was very good. If i had been pulled over, the cop would have thought that i had 12-pack before driving! Thank goodness it is finally going away. I was begining to wonder!

I always get my sea legs very quickly. My land legs are a bit more reluctant to come back. A trick I learned few years ago was to take Bonine the day we get off the ship and for the next few days after. It works perfectly!

The ground still "moves" but I don't feel sick to my stomach. I think the ideal solution though would be to just stay on board....

I feel woozy after each cruise, too. th elast time I took Bonine on the trip and afterward as well and it reduced the level of wooziness to almost nil.

Marshmelo: Maybe it's not cruise-legs, maybe it's a "little souvenir"!! :teeth: JUST KIDDING!!! Have you seen that commercial?
Seriously, tho....I have pretty much lost the feeling, just a little unsteadiness every once in a while. And it's been alomost a whole week! The Bonine may be the ticket....my one friend on the cruise took Bonine, and never had "land legs"....her boyfriend didn't take it, and he's still swaying a little too. I didn't take it either. Try it....after you do an EPT, that is!! ;) Sorry, couldn't resist!

Just a little note, if your land legs don't come back by Monday, go see your doctor. I had a similar problem after my first cruise - But I had an inner ear VIRUS. It lasted about a month before my land legs got back. Had to do drops several times a day.

Hope you stop swaying soon.

Stacey - No, I don't think it's a 'little souvenir'.....I love that commercial! Especially since I just got engaged on the cruise, I don't think I'm ready for that just yet! There were a few people (including my fiance's mom!) who said they wanted me to bring back that 'little souvenir'.

I have some good news though; I think my land legs are slowly coming back. I don't feel it much today. Every once in awhile I feel some movement, but for the most part I think it's going away. It has been exactly a week ago today that I got off the ship, so I guess that's not as bad as it could have been. Thanks to all of you for the tips! I'm just glad I wasn't the only one.
