Can't get Memory Maker linked in MDE!

I purchased Memory Maker this morning and was hoping it would link to my MDE account automatically. Well, it didn't! I tried using the confirmation number that I received and that would not work either! I just get an error message that my reservation is already linked or I cannot use this confirmation number to link it. Has anyone else had this problem and can you offer any direction? Thanks!
 
I bought my MM last week online. I thought you had to get Guest Services at WDW to link it?
 
Well I am having the same problem you are. I just called the MDE line that the website suggests. After 50 minutes on the phone they were unable to resolve the issue linking MemoryMaker to my account. The operator was very helpful and told me that a trouble ticket has been created for this and that it was escalated up the chain (my words not his). I hope to have this resolved before my trip in January. However, I'm not too worried...yet. Just wanted to let you know what my experience was.
 
We'll after about an hour on the phone, I was able to get Memory Maker linked to MDE. I ended up calling technical support and the CM had to work with a "behind the scenes-type CM". Ultimately they had me enter a ticket confirmation code into the "Add/Link Tickets" section of MDE (not link Memory Maker). The confirmation number we receive after purchasing Memory Maker is for the transaction, not for the actual product. After that Memory Maker was linked. Just wanted to report back in case this info might help someone else!

Ugh, so frustrating! Did you speak with someone in website technical assistance? I guess you could always try calling back as each CM seems to handle this problem differently. As I posted above my CM had to work with someone else (escalation team) in order to help get the info needed to get Memory Maker linked. Good luck!

It is frustrating. I will call back in a week or so. I will let them figure it out. They did escalate it and maybe they can get this fixed. We don't go for a while yet so there is time for the gremlins to be worked out of the system:rolleyes1

Memory Maker is supposed to automatically link to MDE when you purchase it online. I have read that this works for some people, for others (including myself) it did not.

You could try going under the My Reservations tab in MDE, scrolling down to the bottom, and click on Link Memory Maker. I have read on a few threads that some people are able to enter in the confirmation number that they received when they purchased Memory Maker to get it to link to MDE. Again, this did not work for me.

So, I ended up having to call technical support and have them walk me through the linking process - see my post above.

This really should be a lot easier than it is! The CM said that this is a new product and that they are "still working out some glitches!!!"

I had trouble linking mine too. When I try to link it, the error message says it is already linked, but when I click on MM on MDE says nothing linked. I used the chat option and reached customer service. Woman said their system was down, but that she would be able to link it when it was up and running again. Took my code & my cell #. That was about 5 hours ago. I havent heard anything yet....
 
I was having the same issue as you guys, but then I thought about that note - not being able to link photos for 3 days (if you pre-purchase). So I left it alone, logged in on day 4 and there it was :) I think you may just have to give it some time.
 
When I bought my Memory Maker, I tried the confirmation number and it didn't work. I waited for the card that came in the mail, used that number and bingo! It linked right up on MDE with no problem at all. :goodvibes

So, if you're doing the Will Call option, I don't know. but, if you're getting it by mail, wait for the card and you'll likely save a lot of time and trouble on the phone. :thumbsup2

I bought mine on 12/16. Tried to link it today, but it wouldnt go. I didnt get a card yet in the mail, but I will watch for that.

Arthur Figgis - How soon after ordering did you receive a card in the mail?

I'm not too worried as my trip isnt until April...Just trying to figure out the most painless way to get this done.
 
Low & Behold......my Memory Maker card came in the mail TODAY! I ordered it online on 12/16 and the card arrived today 12/28. I used the number on the back of the card and it added to MDE/MDX with no problem. :)

To me, it's a system error. The website does say: "Enter your Memory Maker ID or Ticket Order Number."

Seems to me it should say, "Enter the Memory Maker ID # from the back of your Memory Maker card. You will receive your card in about 2 weeks after you place your online order." OR better yet, it should be able to synch up automatically, like my dining reservations did....

Either way, they could save themselves a lot of customer service phone calls!
 
Just to clarify this for myself... do you still have to go to a photopass desk with the card you get in the mail? Or is it just on the mb and ready to go?

Memory maker isn't a PhotoPass product, so nope.

Good question! I was wondering something similar.

For those who have already used Memory Maker, do the pictures just show up in MDE or do we have to link our Magic Bands to our MDE account in order to get them to show up?

If anyone could explain the process for using Memory Maker, I'm sure many of us would really appreciate it!

I'm wondering about the borders and signatures that we used to be able to add on Photopass...are these still available with MM, if the photos are automatically downloaded to our MDE account?
 
I used the Memory maker product this past week.

Before I left, I tried to "link" it with my account with the numbers on the card. It would not work. I called DME, and was given a phone number to call the photopass people. I had to wait until the hours they were open, so called the next day.

The photopass people were extremely nice, but advised that this was a magic band issue. I was put on hold & transferred to DME. Again, I was told that I needed to speak with the photopass people. DME staff were apologetic when I explained that I was told that this was a magic band issue by photopass. I was put on hold.

When they came back, I was told that this was a "tier 2" problem & that it would be resolved. I was again put on hold. (The whole time I was on hold, I was periodically told that they were still working on it.)

From start to finish ---it was fixed in a 55 minute phone call. I would say that everyone I talked to was very nice and tried the best they could to fix my problem.

Now---at the parks, I had issues with the ride photos showing up after my magic band was scanned. The photos were retrieved later by a very efficient cast member at the AKL. I would suggest that all ride photos be put on a photopass card as a backup.

All other photos that were scanned with the band showed up.

I think the product will be great once the issues are resolved.

The pictures show up under either the photopass or memory maker link OR under "my reservations"

We had people in 3 rooms, we had to allow each other to view & make copies of the photos (you do this under family & friends.) The people in my room were automatically able to add pictures to the memory maker.
 
I bought the old photopass plus product on the pre-order special price for our October 2014 trip before MM was announced.

Does anyone know do I still redeem the voucher when we get to WDW just as we did before ? and will we still get the same red PP+ card on a lanyard and the ordinary PP cards that we just get the photographer to scan ?

I tried to entire the code on the PP+ voucher into the "link Memory Maker" page on DME but it obviously didn't work.
